All Saints

Without derailing this very important conversation.....

Can we just admire The Remix Album for a second. It doesn't seem to get much love, yet I think it's a work of art.

I'd not played it for yonks, then found the CD this morning and have been getting not only mine, but several other people's lives to it.

The perfect companion piece to the main album.

The only improvement would have been if some of the album tracks had been remixed for it too.

Oh that's currently half on my discard pile.
Only reason I wanna hang onto it is 'keeping my All Saints discography complete' but it just repeats the same songs a little too often for my liking (plus all remixes not being quite as enjoyable as the originals either)

The R&B-leaning remixes are fan-fucking-tastic.

Never Ever (All Star Remix)
Bootie Call (Krazee Alley Mix)
I Know Where It's At (Groovy Mix)
Under the Bridge (Ignorants Remix featuring Jean Paul e.s.q.)
Lady Marmalade (Timbaland Remix)

It is a good one to listen to in the car. But I get what you mean, there is a lot of Bootie Call and Lady Marmalade.
I also assume it's better playing in the background than when quickly sampling the tracklist to make up your mind on it. Maybe I'm just not the biggest on remix albums.

I wish that a couple of the songs would have been released in full - I've been looking for Lady Marmalade (Mark!s Wrecked Dub) + (Sharp's Trade Lite Dub) for years!

Though not listed at such I would not be terribly surprised if that released is a continuous mix too though

It seems the Appleton vinyl has gone a bit unnoticed, don't you think? No news, no new music, no gigs...
