American Horror Story

It definitely did not feel like a final episode. It feels like there should be another one next week. Maybe they just couldn’t be bothered to film the last 2 episodes, and gave up after episode 4.

Marcia Clark, Linda Tripp, Mamie Eisenhower. Ryan Murphy is absolutely obsessed with having Sarah Paulson play a camp fictionalised version of every woman he has ever idolised.

I didn't watch past episode 1 of Death Valley and based on the reactions here that was definitely a smart choice. My only takeaway from the 40 minutes I did watch and what I've seen online is that it's probably time I just give up trying with this show. Oh, and I'd also like to impregnate Nico Greetham.

After this, 84 and Stories I'm reaching that point myself. At several points over the last few episodes, I wondered why I was still investing my time in this when I could be watching something better.

It was a good episode, but it wasn't an ending. Shame there aren't any episodes left as I really enjoyed this conspiracy theory X alternate history season. And there was so much more they could have done with that.

She/Her/Queen
I'm not coming back for season 11 for damn sure. I won't be duped anymore.

This is like a toxic ex. It's been 10 years gherls, LEARN TO WALK AWAY.

I just checked the viewer numbers for this season and FX is really gonna give them three more? Good luck with those three seasons you speak of.

I’ve watched the more recent seasons out of morbid curiosity. Roanoke really was the last great season of storytelling. It’s not even worth playing as background entertainment anymore. Good luck, ghoulies; maybe the tides will turn.

I just saw the ratings. Oh my god, they were already dire but this season was a disaster. The budget for this show is tens of millions of dollars. There's absolutely no fucking way any other show would be getting multiple renewals with those ratings. At some points they're down to 10% of what would have been their normal audience in the early seasons.

God, just call it. It's dead.

If they were killing all alien hybrid baby experiments, how come the main nurse hybrid was allowed to stay alive?

AHS having plot holes? Color me shocked!

I agree with the fact that AHS is kind of over, I think they had all the cards to make season 10 a great season, great cast, interesting stories and yet they were able to screw both of them and AHStories made pretty much clear that the biggest issues is the writing, it's dreadful and clunky.

Season 11 has already been announced to be about sirens, isn't it?

I wish they'd fucking write an outline for a full season.

I do think they did for this season, but with COVID the second part of the seasons was a bit stop and go, and I would not be surprised if they rushed the finale of Red Tide for similar reasons, since the tone of the episode is so detached from the first five, but then again they really showed time after time that they don't really know better, so...

Yes, I loved that with the flashbacks. If I trusted them to not fuck it up, I actually think Death Valley could have made for a good single season, not just a few episodes. Have it stretch from the 1950's to present day over the ten episodes, tying in to various conspiracy theories/events like you said. Maybe it wrap it up with some real event from the recent years being tied to the aliens instead, like the meme/theory that goes around that says the world did end in 2012 and this all just the afterlife.

Just a very weak finale. It felt like there should have been more.
I think that is what is so uniquely disappointing about this series. Rather than the usual idea they don't know how to land and end up stretching for far longer than it has any business being, we have two half baked ideas which could have justified being more substantial. You can easily expand Death Valley along those lines, and Red Tide has so many untapped ideas around what it actually means to be creative and the unregarded worth of creatives like Karen and Mickey. And it was really leaning into that darker vibe. But nope we got the standard issue Falchuk nonsense instead.

I’m starting with Red Tide.

I hate that I’m watching this with a sense of trepidation, not because I’m anxious that something genuinely frightening might happen, but because I’m waiting to see when the wheels fall off…

Just enjoy it as much as you can, as there's genuinely a lot to enjoy. It's good, not amazing, just very good. Until it's very fucking rubbish.

If I had the chance to get back my time time back, I wouldn’t watch it. The ending of both parts is terrible.
