Did they manage to get this finished before the strike then?
They filmed through the writers strike, so I believe they wrapped production before the actors went on strike.
I can't believe this is on its 12th seasons even though the last six seasons have been mostly shit. For the last couple of years it's been like this show exists only to give some B/C-tier American personality (and various Murphy's f*ckbuddies) a place on TV. Please make it stop, it used to be such a good show.
The script is an adaptation of a book so unless they veer wildly off course (it is AHS after all) I think this will actually give them a concise story to work with. Too bad the show jumped the shark like 6 seasons ago and took all the talented actors out with it.
I still stand by saying Red Tide was fantastic other than the awful finale. A couple of the episodes were genuinely the most disturbing the show had been in years, and the performances in it were great.
Red Tide was a little too Hollywood getting high on the smell of its own farts. I just couldn't get into the I'm an artiiiiiiiiste existential horror of it.
The last good season was 1984 for me. A genuinely entertaining mess! And Apocalypse is still the nadir.

You lost me when you said 1984 was good. The only season I’ve ever given up on. And I forced my way through that stupid alien one.
That episode where the guy gave birth to the alien/human hybrid and then they replaced his head with a giant silver ball will never not be funny.
I found NYC alright.
I actually loved Cult! One of the better seasons in recent-ish years.
NYC was brilliant (bar the last couple of episodes), although didn’t feel entirely like AHS.
