I'm just going by what Annie said. She recently did a podcast where she said she'd written a song for Kylie with Fred Falke. Apparently Kylie loved the song, but Stuart Price wasn't happy with the production team working on the song.

So I guess that that production team was actually interested in proper and well executed vocal recording and lush sound design that does not rely on pre-set sounds?

I adore this live version and she sounds amazing.. just wish her look wasn't so 'girl-next-door' in this.. she's so gorgeous, and the song is so evocative and film noir.. I've always imagined her wearing a black turtleneck, sharp black pants, hair open , sightly covering her face, pale face and red lips.. but maybe that's just me hehe
