According to a recent tweet, Annie has a tenori-on.

I think Little Boots has just been made redundant.

I noticed that and had a wee chuckle. To some people Little Boots is an Annie rip-off anyway.

To which people? Sometimes, you are wrong and need to be quiet.

DrunkenWerewolf posted that opinion on their Tweet. I read every issue. And sometimes you need to take your own advice and give us some silence. You don't need to talk down to people whose opinions and comments you dislike.

Re: Annie - 'Don't Stop'

It wasn't intentionally talking down. I just get very frustrated when people say that sort of stuff about Little Boots because the way people react to her on here is everything I hate about pop snobbery.

Annie might be a female making electronic music, just like Victoria, but does that mean Little Boots is ripping her off? No. There were women making electronic music long before Annie.

But I am a pop snob!

Of course you're right. I suppose Delia Derbyshire is lucky not to be signed to Annie's old label like Little Boots otherwise she'd probably be compared. But there are some people who think that regardless even if they're wrong. Some people probably think La Roux is a rip-off of Annie Lennox though.

I'd even say Bad Times is the only great truly track there.

I like Bad Times but it's no Heartbeat. But to be fair...what is? Heartbeat is a one of a kind melancholic indie pop dance gem. Songs Remind Me Of You is my favourite on the album. That and I Don't Like Your Band.

Bad Times to me is a Nicola Roberts solo track that never was. I can totally picture her singing it - it's lovely as it is by Annie though. I think it's my second fave on the album.

This is true. I should have known better than to bite!

What's your first? It's Songs Remind Me Of You isn't it?

Re: Annie - 'Don't Stop'

Bad Times is quickly coming for The Breakfast Song on my list. Every time I listen to it I love it a little more.

Now I've also changed my mind about the exclusion of IKUGHM on the album. Would not have worked.

I think it does work.. it's on my playlist and doesn't seem out of place. From a cynical point of view, as a casual buyer, I was much more reluctant to buy the album because it wasn't on it. She should have just stuck it on the end... there is space!

I must be the only one who misses Don't Stop 1.0. I guess I got so used to it.

I certainly don't. The proper version is so much better in terms of tracklisting and the Epworth songs are probably among Annie's strongest. My only minor gripe is that there's not enough Richard X. Annie has produced her ultimate songs with Richard and she's his perfect pop muse. I hope we get more than one song from them on the next album.

I understand why she didn't include I Know UR Girlfriend Hates Me but yes - it's one of my favourite tracks from her. I love Annie when she's being an arch bitch.

SRMOY is on P3 right now again. Smash hit!

Aaah. Looks like it might go into regular rotation!

And it already sent up Songs Remind Me of You to #39 on the Swedish iTunes dance chart! Annie's ready for $ucce$$.

Yes! I have finally converted on of my friends into an Anniemaniac! I think she's slowly becoming quite obsessed with Annie.

My work is done.

I applaud you "Anniemaniacs". Your love is real and it's deep to have kept this thread afloat. I haven't listened to this album in months!!!

Hurrah! Good job. I find relentlessly grinding people down until they have no choice but to embrace her works best.

You can't ignore the pop album of the year. Go and listen to it!

Re: Annie - 'Don't Stop'

Oopsie! Just realised I typed "Anniemacs" instead of "Anniemaniacs". That'll be the Pinot Noir. Ha!

I've listened to it plenty in V1.0 form, which was pretty great. The Paul Epworth tracks just aren't good enough to keep me coming back I'm afraid. Even I Don't Like Your Band...

I still listen to some of the Xeno songs though. Loco, Bad Times and Sweet especially.

Don't Stop is number two on my top albums of 2009 list. Kirkland is going to murder me.

No I'm not! I don't mind. Please don't see me as a ranty bitch tyrant. I'm very nice actually.

(I'd insert a smilie here if I could.)
