Yeah, my experience after about a month-ish with HomePod (as someone who doesn’t really use Siri on iPhone) is that the sound quality is really great, and it’s a stylish product to have in my space, but Siri is just jarringly behind. Aside from not understanding what I’m asking for with music requests, it just constantly tells me to use my phone when I ask about something. Sometimes with what I consider pretty basic stuff; I’m not asking for a verbal recitation of the origins of the universe.

But my silver lining is that Siri can always get better with software updates. … Right?

Yes, the say the question again and I’ll show results on your phone is dreadful. It could at least automatically send the results to the phone.

It could get better with software updates but has been like this since it was launched.

I mean, let’s just say it - Siri is absolute trash. I literally just asked it to play “The Beat Divine” without specifying an artist because I figured it would be smart enough to detect the song from the Alison Goldfrapp album that I just purchased.

What I got instead after 5 seconds of loading: “Here’s Bette Middler”.

Wow it really said here’s gay music.

Yeah I don't care for Siri to answer elaborate questions, I just wish it was better at understanding requests based on basic information it already has on the user, especially music. Also it is impossible to request any song/artist that isn't in the system language. I hate myself for figuring out ways to mispronounce Italian artists' name so that English Siri understands what I want
