I feel like they will re-launch the era in early 2024 with the tour announcement, or maybe for the 1 year anniversary of the album, although that seems a bit late if she's touring next summer.

Her live versions are just everything.
I can't believe after the sheer amount of excellent released throughout the entire year... We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Love) is still on such an incomparable level. The exceptional vocals that switch in emotive outing effortlessly, the lyrics that seem to be written from such a standpoint it is easily relatable, the rich production that does not make it tiresome and complements the feelings of desperation and hope throughout the song.
I cannot believe that it's Ariana Grande who is serving nearly a year long album campaign in 2024. It's nice to see an artist be doing this stuff purely for the love of it when so many of her contemporaries and especially the artists in the generation before her have become so content-shy because honestly, they're too rich to bother. Like I don't imagine she's getting forced into doing a live version of most of the album eight months in, but it's so nice to have, and a great way to return to the album as well.
It has had a lot of competition, but I think "we can't be friends" is still probably my favourite single of the year. Just utterly pristine alchemy; the crowning achievement of her and Max's creative relationship, and I do not say that lightly. The pathos, mmm yes, the energy of waiting on the cliff's edge looking to the horizon for any sign of a ship that's carrying your lover home. The quiet resolution and reckoning of loneliness. The fact that it's really about Page Six calling her a homewrecking whore. It's just total magic and something that only pop music at its highest level can achieve. I love it so much.
