Half of it is highly enjoyable but it's not exactly a monument to taste or innovation is it.

Pop was going through a drought back when Ava came around so her earnest glossy pop music felt novel to the pop lovers who were starving. Nowadays we have more options in that lane so her lack of evolution feels obvious. You can hear 7 versions of her music in any Eurovision national final.

Actually this third album era has been a bit of a shambles basically from the start, this isn't exactly a new development ff

It all just sounds so faceless. I've been an Ava truther from the start but it's at the point where like... she has nothing to offer. Diamonds and Dancefloors was good, but everything each side of it demonstrates there's nothing creative or of perspective there. She's just a fine voice singing middling demos that are sent her way. And as each track comes, it's further evident she is unable to do anything flexible with her voice - it is very one note.

It's bordering on Ark Music Factory at this point.

I think some of us are doing a bit too much. It doesn’t come close to the highs of One Of Us and Dancing’s Done- but this is a pretty good bop that is firmly in her lane.
