...Is she committing to a gig? I genuinely think her problem is that she's maybe one of the most unconvincing popstars going. Like she'd rather be doing anything else. Everything she does feels kind of calculated but not even in a particularly intelligent way, it's like she's perpetually just... mine sweeping the unfinished or discarded ideas from other, better artists.

I think this kind of... not low-tier, but perhaps low-stakes pop music can be done really, really well, where everyone knows what they're getting and what is being provided. I just don't think she's good at providing even that. I'm really curious to see what happens when this flops too, because the Serbian pharmacy soundtrack didn't work, so now if the samples aren't working... where does that leave her?
