Did you not listen to the self-titled!? This really does have similar DNA but it's also the most pop punk she's been in ages.

I still think that Self-Titled is overall a tragic and bad album, with 3 good songs.

This is the best (damn) thing she's done in years. As a card-carrying stan of that album, I'm absolutely here for this. It feels like the perfect time for an Avril comeback with pop punk having a resurgence over the last year.

are all great, and the others are fine-to-meh.

Self-titled's big problem is Epic trying to make her songs more palatable since pop-rock wasn't in. It's fine to have a diverse affair, but moments like 'Sippin On Sunshine' just don't work for her, or seem all that inspired.

Is the explicit version volume way lower for anyone else on Apple Music?

I really like this! It’s definitely one of the better things she’s put out in recent years and I can see it growing and growing over time.

One thing I don’t like is the “wifey” lyric…it just sounds cringe but I can see past it because everything else is great.
