I would rather them work with Max with moderate success and it be good material then others. I'm confident in him he was part of Teenage Dream and Femme Fatale which were both in top 2 albums of the year for me.

I'm not sure how I feel about them going more urban. She's A Dream is one of the worst songs the every done.

  2. I love She's A Dream. T-Pain did a great job producing that song and the harmonies sound amazing.

  3. I loved "she's a dream" as well & if max is on board it better be up to date not some old dated teen pop sound. It needs to sound current and nothing like "Bigger" which bland.

Really? It's one of only like 3 songs I don't like by them. The Shorty and my fam are cringe.

I wouldn't mind another If I Knew Then or Straight Through The Heart.

I'd be good with that. Everything on their last album was quite good except for she's a dream and PDA for me. Whatever they do I hope it's what they want to do and the type of music that they think will bring them back large success as I don't think anything they do will be able to achieve that...

  7. I completely agree, and I never understood why people liked 'Bigger' or why it was a single. I remember watching them perform the song on the Wendy Williams Show, and the whole thing sounded cheesy and dated. It's one thing to sing old hits, but the new material has to sound more current.

  8. Ill honestly never understand why they didn't take a break a la NSYNC.

The boyband fad in the US has long gone, BSB hasn't had a sizeable hit since the fad ended and them staying together, while great for fans is just uninteresting at this point.

Don't get me wrong, I love BSB. They, along with NSYNC and Godney, defined my musical habits during childhood but I've never felt the need to listen to any of their new tunes since Drowning. I've heard all the albums and singles since then and loved their collabo with NKOTB but I haven't stanned for them since then.

I think had they taken a break back then and came back say in 2010 or 2011 they might've had hits and mass US love again. I always hear my friends and internet folk craving an NSYNC reunion but that's because they took time off and made people actually long for them.

At this point I'd even take a 98 Degrees reunion over a new BSB album but only because they've actually given me enough time to want them back.

It was five years between their 3rd and fourth album and their first album back was a success. If they had waited ten year there probably only would have had one successful album. The problem is America is their main market and the US just isn't here for boybands in the way that the UK or Japan is.

  10. The UK isn't interested in them either though. I think they should grow up and call it a day now! Howie D is almost 40! It's embarrasing to see them still pushing away as people constantly turn away in disgust and ignore all heir recent albums. NOBODY CARES...... when will they get that?

  11. The uk wasnt interested in j.lo either but lookat her now.Anyhting can happen & its possib;e they just need that 1 big song to bring them back on top again and a strong 2nd and 3rd single.

And they're out on a SOLD OUT ARENA TOUR!! with nkotb so people are still checking for them & not turning away in disgust.

Their age is completely irrelevant to the succes & great reviews they've been gettiing on tour.

Thye need better promo team & new major label toinvest in making their next album a succes and strong current material.

  12. I wouldn't mind a return to their pop-rock stuff either, 'Just Want You To Know' is probably my favourite song theyve ever done and 'Incomplete' was great to.

  13. 'If i Knew then' was playlisted over the capital network and had they released that track as the first single from This is us, with radio support I think it would have been a hit.
It sounded great on the radio and was building a big momentum again.

Biggest mistake was releasing Inconsolable and not Unmistakable as the first single from unbreakable.

  14. Incomplete is such and amazing song, one of my favorite songs ever and I'm not even into BSB.

They may just like making music? Also I meant the fact the US hasn't had any successful boybands since late 1990 and early 2000. UK has had Take That come bacl, One DIrection, JLS, The Wanted.

I need to download Still Want You To Know, never got around to doing that.

If they indeed work with Carl Falk as someone has mentioned above, that would be amazing. Some of the songs on Darren Hayes' most recent album would have worked well for them.

  17. I don't see why their age would be a problem. Another "Howie D" from a successful boyband is 43!
As long as they're still enjoying it, then good for them that they're not calling it a day. It's not like they're a laughing stock now. I've always found it admirable that they always kept going despite the fact that they haven't had a massive hit in ages. Most other acts would have thrown the towel in after one flop.

  18. I can't wait for another album! Just the other day I was listening to their Greatest Hits. Seriously, they have such amazing songs! I just hope that they will make more Pop/Rocksongs and don't try whatever they tried on the latest two albums.

Please not! Although having a song with him is a guarantee to have a hit but soon everybody will realise that his songs sound all the same.

If Backstreet Boys still enjoy making music, and still get on with each other, why would they split up? They may be playing to an ever-dwindling fanbase, but where's the harm in that?

I stumbled over Climbing Up The Walls the other day while buying Just Want You To Know. Such an amazing song. I want something like this.
