Bananarama

I’m not sure we need another compilation album tbh. 30 years of Bananarama covered up to and including the Viva singles (albeit ignoring a few tracks).

I think them doing more small headline shows of fan favourites (esp Pop Life era) would be preferable. Cover all 40 years and invite Siobhan and Jacquie to appear for a few tracks without the pressure/expectations of any full on reunions.

I don’t think it’s an either/or. I hope for the shows as well!

I'd be pleased with a duorama collection one day (not sure they'd have the audacity to title it 'greatest hits'?), but as a celebration of their 40 years, anything they put out should cover all of that period.

I'd like to see something like Kim gave us last year...

CD1 - hits
CD2 - more hits
CD3 - lesser known 'hits'
CD4 - b-sides
CD5 - remixes I
CD6 - remixes II
CD7 - deep cuts
DVD/Blu-Ray - promo video's, tv appearances, live performances etc

Not sure that's on the cards, but one can dream, and they're certainly deserving of a box set.
As a recent fully invested fan, I’d definitely be up for a box set like Kim’s Pop Don’t Stop, I’d want them to cover their entire career, so disc 1 could be trio and disc 2 could be duo.

I really don’t see the point in another greatest hits but releasing a career box set would be a fantastic way to acknowledge the duo years. I do find those box sets weird though. It’s like saying “this is it! Bye” but I generally read to much into things!

I’m also not sure a greatest hits is necessary in this day and age of steaming and playlists, I already have duo and trio Spotify playlists but yes a physical multi disc boxset like @AshtrayHeart mentioned would be worth buying, the Kim Wilde one was done so well.

I think we are now at the point of a new Greatest Hits Collection for the Duo years and I hope this is one of the 40 year releases with a second disc of hits re-recorded with Ian Masterson.

I have created the following playlist I’m using with the structure of the 1988 collection, replacing SAW produced tracks with Ian Masterson and having newer tracks on Side A and then the ‘oldies’ on Side B

A Side

Love Comes (Radio Edit)
Love Don’t Live Here (Radio Mix)
Now Or Never
Stuff Like That (Single Mix)
Looking For Someone (Radio Mix)
Masquerade (Radio Edit)
Forever Young

B Side

Movin’ On (7-Inch)
Look On The Floor (Hypnotic Tango) (Radio Edit)
More, More, More (7-Inch Mix)
Every Shade Of Blue
I Found Love (Rozi-Mix AM3 [Edit])
Move In My Direction
Last Thing On My Mind

CD Bonus Tracks

Love, Leave, Forget
Favourite (Shanghai Surprise Remix)
Movin’ On (Bumpin’ Mix)
Look On The Floor (Solasso Remix)

Feels like Careless Whisper should be here as it was technically a single but if this collection was actually released they would clearly forget Exotica!

Great track listing but I would also add Take Me To Your Heart (Radio Edit) to the main set and on the bonus CD add Tonight (Bright Light Bright Light Remix) and Prove Your Love (Hasbrouck Heights Club Mix).

A boxset like Kim's would be out of this world. Cherry Red did a wonderful job with Kim's box set.

Forever Young is a great choice for the second single.
I'm guessing 2 singles is going to be the standard now going from the previous album releases.
I hope it gets a video and decent airplay.

Yes, very happy that "Forever Young" is a single. Hoping for one more this time ("Running With The Night") as the single after but as you say, it might be just the two!
