Bardot (Australian Popstars)

Just went to listen to my annual ply of Sophie Monk’s album, Calendar Girl and curious as to why ‘One Breath Away’ has been greyed out on UK streaming sites.

Neither the album nor the single mix is available which is a little jarring. Any thoughts why?

Apologies for the double post, but Belinda has announced that in conjunction with Paramount Australia and Channel 10, that she will produce a brand-new 8-part drama titled ‘Paper Dolls’.

Set in the early 2000’s, Paper Dolls is based around a group of girls who are chosen as part of a reality show to form a Girl Band, called ‘Indigo’. Drawing from her own experiences, the tv show is set to film this year for release end of 2022/2023.

So this is finally happening... Interesting.

Double Post...

I finally had the chance to sit down with Katie Underwood again and she tells us all about the failed Bardot 20 year reunion, the creation of spinoff duo KA'BEL and finding her way back to dance music after the pandemic lockdown.
Hope you enjoy!

I’ll have to take a listen, was the last one where she told a story about writing for someone under 19 management.

They're certainly both very busy women and I'm glad that their duo work will continue alongside solo efforts.
Cannot wait to see what Belinda has to say on the Bardot experience and how people will react. I hope she puts Caplice and Sophie on blast for ending the band because it feels like the general public still don't know how shady everything was.

And we here know that there is quite a story to tell! I think, in 2023, people will be ready to listen to Belinda - there's more awareness of mental health issues and wellbeing generally.

It’s just sad that the girls cannot come together for a reunion of sorts, however I am not naive or stupid to know, that for some, the experience was negative. And for that, I would never want them to return to a situation they do not feel comfortable.

Thankfully, we still have the music and memories and I’m grateful that some of them continue to fly the Bardot flag in a new, exciting way!
