Honestly kind of shocked that she doesn't already have a thread here. We'll keep this short and sweet. Bea Kristi AKA beabadoobee was born in the Philippines and grew up in the UK, and she's released a couple of stellar EPs over the last two years. Definitely check her out if you liked Hatchie oe Clairo's album (speaking of which, Bea is opening up for her on tour. booked and busy queen). She's a got a nice blend of dreampop, bedroom pop, and a bit of 90s acoustic alternative as well.

And definitely stream her newest single She Plays Bass. Issa bop.

  6. I was going to start a thread a while ago, because she's sort of perfect. 90s grunge diva, which is my bag. I'm glad some posters like her. She Plays Bass is amazing. It sounds like the sort of college rock music I devoured in the 90s when I wasn't at college!

  7. I almost made a thread when "She Plays Bass" dropped but my threads always flop ddd.

She's great. The new EP is fantastic!

  8. She's song of the week on Radio One. She Plays Bass pops off.

The name is stupid but I'll get used to it. I can't exactly come for someone's name when my fave is Lady Gaga.

  9. Her name is a nightmare to search. I have to sound it out every time.

  10. I really enjoyed this! It reminds me of Bully a little.

  11. Listening to the three EPs right now and I'm blown away. I get Jimmy Eat World vibes during the most layered songs, so the emo in me is more than pleased. Really excited to hear an eventual full length next year.
