Belinda after yet another night with that Eric Generic fella....jeez....
New Go-Go's song, and upcoming documentary.
Oh this is great news!
I can't believe God Bless The Go-Go's is almost 20 years old, it's still one of my all-time favorite albums ever.
A new song Club Zero, amazing!
Shades of Blondie, REM and the B52s... Excellent stuff! I want more!
The Go-gos documentary airs on Showtime tonight in the US. Fantastic review.
Is there a Go-Gos thread on here? I couldn’t find one. I’ve always been more of a fan of the band than Belinda solo.
Club Zero is a really catchy, fun song, but I'm not sure about the mixing and vocal production.
I thoroughly enjoyed the documentary. The post-breakup stuff did feel rushed, but otherwise, an incredible watch. I’ve seen their Behind The Music hundreds of times, so it’s not as if I learned a ton, but I still found it such an enjoyable experience to hear them talk about it all.
The Go-Go's documentary is being shown on the Sky Documentaries channel tomorrow (2nd August) at 2am & 9pm and at 9pm on Tuesday August 4th.
Thanks for the heads-up! I tend to miss those.
Dammit, it's not included in my Virgin package. Hopefully it'll end up on Sky arts (if they fancy a change from constant Andre Rieu concerts that is).
But I love all those sensible short-haircut Dutch women tearfully jigging in Maastricht town square!
Love the new Go-Gos song, hopefully a full new album is a possibility.
I was looking at the liners for the Runaway Horses special edition album and came across this review of Leave a Light On from Bjork(!) who has a go at Belinda’s voice(!!!). I mean Bjork I love you but....
Leave a Light On being a bigger hit than Bjork ever had though.
I dread to think what she thought of Sonia if she hated that!
Spot on. And being much better too.
