I played the album till 4am and only woke up now and I feel like COVID has got me. Oh wow maybe she's breaking my soul indeed.
Listening to this in the order it is meant to be in and not in alphabetical order makes so much more sense now dddd the tracks actually blend
Not feeling the album much after the first listen. I guess it'll take a few listens to get into it but it's all very repetitive and sounds like a way too long club soundtrack. I'm a bit disappointed cause I really loved BREAK MY SOUL and so far the rest of the album isn't matching its amazingness. Anyway the Beyoncé hype is still very real for me (I was so anticipating this release) so I guess I will stream B'Day all day!

The ending of Break My Soul is puzzling to me. I always thought it was going to immediately launch into another song when we got it as a single, but it just abruptly stops. Every other track flows into the other here, so the cut is extra weird now ddd.
When I relistened to Self-Titled yesterday, I wished to myself that the horn line in Blow was utilised more. Cuff It delivered.
