No one said that, we said it makes more sense to do it closer to the Grammys because there will be more buzz.
I have to say, this album is such a feast for fans of Beyoncé ballads and vocal showcases.
Because today the brevity and ease and execution of Flamenco and My Rose are doing it for me.
The harmonizing, the vocal arrangement, the vocal agility, the precision, the breath, and the Destiny's Child level runs with a 2020s maturity is something else.
I may have said this before, but there are certain idiosyncratic supreme vocals things that happened with the Destiny's Child 8 Days of Christmas album. As an album I rarely listen to it start to finish. But the nature of it being a holiday album/side project really allowed the creative freedom to fly. And some of those same seeds and choices, I don't think we had seen blossom until this album with songs like Flamenco and My Rose.

SHE FINALLY WON ALBUM OF THE YEAR AT THE GRAMMYS.
I’m in shock. Feels like recent-ish Album of the Year Grammy winners are never lifetime achievement awards in the way Oscars or Emmys are sometimes so it felt like her moment had maybe passed by. So glad I was wrong.
Saying deserved would be such a massive understatement. Congratulations. It took a while but hard work, perseverence and vision paid off. I'm so happy and so proud of her.
