Where did you watch season 2?Just finished Series Two. Not quite what I expected after Series One, but it made me laugh; made me cry. A great watch.
It’s on Channel 4 Plus. I signed up for the seven day free trial and cancelled it right away.Where did you watch season 2?
Ahh legend - cheers for the info! That's my evening sorted. It’s on Channel 4 Plus. I signed up for the seven day free trial and cancelled it right away.
I can’t agree that it’s as good, but it’s still a lot better than a lot of things out there.Series 2 is as excellent as Series 1 is. It's so validating to see a queer story rooted in British working class culture, my God.
Also, Maddy from The Traitors appearing in two episodes. Jack Rooke truly is one of us.
That’s what I was expecting at the end of Series 2, to be honest.I watched all of Series 2 last night and I adored it - I can’t argue against the complaints above, the first series was lightning in a bottle and there’s no way it could be bettered or even matched but this was comforting, hilarious and heartbreaking all at once.
I assume that Series 3 will be the final one (and that it will end with a VERY SAD EVENT THAT KEEPS BEING SIGNPOSTED?)

I worked on that advert nn (and I get it, I fancy him too)I spent last week watching this second series. It felt like catching up with old friends. I liked Corinne much more this time. Jon Pointing is such a babe. I fancied him in some advert a few years back when he was a vampire. He’s really not my type but has such a charm about him.
I realise I wrote pretty much the same thing 2 years ago when S1 was on!I spent last week watching this second series. It felt like catching up with old friends. I liked Corinne much more this time. I started watching this last night. I was expecting it to be an odd couple kind of comedy with Danny (the room mate) a bit of a dick, jarring with the lead, but in the two eps I've seen so far he's really fun and the star of the show for me. I recall the actor being a vampire in some gaming advert and finding him really captivating in that! He has some charm about him (and kind of reminds me of Dermot O'Leary!).

My mum watched series one and two this weekend and loved it -- always fascinating to see her laughing at explicitly gay jokes. Makes me feel extremely grateful, if not a little awkward!
Ha! That is very similar to my experience - one scene referred to poppers and my mum turned to me to ask "do you drink them?"This reminds me of the time watching Mrs Merton and a pre-disgraced G*ry Gl*tter interview, and Mrs Merton saying something like "there must be a nightclub near me named after you, Gary, because the other night I heard my Malcolm on the phone to his friend saying he was going to take him up the G*ry Gl*tter". Cue much laughter from me. but my mum didn't get it. So I had to explain it was rhyming slang - blank face from my mum. I then had to explain it was rhyming slang for 'shitter', to which my mum said 'as in toilet?'. I just sheepishly nodded and let her think that's what it meant. So awkward, and I was only about 17!!
