I'm excited too. They've done the impossible and made Big Brother in 2014 seem like not such an absurd idea. The celebrity versions will always be the main draw, but they really got it right with the last civilian series as well.

And I adore every inch of Emma Willis, and she is really bringing the star-power to it now. How did they ever allow Brian Dowling to get the job, seriously?

Let's just hope they don't abandon the theme of the series after the first week like they did with "Secrets and Lies".

I'm not sure what I think of this Power Trip theme. I hope it's not like the American BB which really might as well be a different show altogether. I've watched one season of that with "head of household" and "power of veto" and I think that's what's inspired them with this theme. I would rather just have a back to basics series to see how everyone gets on, naturally forming friendships and making enemies, rather than some contrived game where they are all out to get each other.

I will reserve judgement and of course if it's anything like last year's theme of Secrets and Lies it will probably last for about a week and a half anyway!

But I've been excited every year. I just hope the power trip isn't just a one week thing like previous gimmicks.

Oo-eck. I haven't watched properly since it went off of Channel 4, but Celeb BB brought it right back in my good books.

They should bring in someone like Anouska from that really shit season. The one that got voted off first week. But keep her immune. Also bring back Luisa. Just cuz.

I'd rather watch Big Brother 5 (the one with Fight Night 1.0) on youtube than watch this new series.

The summer show is sooooooo past its sell by date (I still do love CBB tho)

I don't know if I would kill to live in this house, or if I would kill myself if I lived in this house. It is certainly visually stunning and the sleekest and most minimal house they've had in a long while. Serious question: Has something changed in the production of this show since the first few Channel 5 series? Pretty much everything about it seems to have done a 180 in the last year.

I agree with that, what a mind trip. I'm sort of getting BB4 and BB10 vibes though, which is worrying. The house definitely looks like a massive trip.

I'm not sure about changes in producers/production but they gave themselves a kick up in the arse since last Big Brother. I don't ever want to see as many Essex/Geordie type contestants as we got in 2011 and 2012, but if all these contestants have high IQs then I'm hoping they are all different enough.
