Big Brother US - Season 23 (July 7th)

Discussion in 'TV + Film' started by Macsun, May 14, 2021.

  1. I hope Azah wins veto and the last HoH and cuts X at the final 3. Since Tiffany can't win, an Azah/Derek F final 2 is what this season deserves.

  2. This season has been so good, I am not about to watch it have a trash final 2.
Kyland I have had some issues with because I don't think he makes the smartest moves.
But Xavier is great and deserves to win. Tiffany or Hannah would deserve it too. The comps just didn't work out in their favor.

  3. Azah/Derek being the Victoria’s of the season, I could not believe it.

  4. Decided to watch this episode shitfaced high on edibles…and I was gagged throughout that second veto ceremony. My state of mind…

Tiffany and Hannah should be canonized as what a houseguest should be like. I love those two.

  5. I'm really not enjoying how the 3 guys have viewed the women of the Cookout as nothing more than collateral these last few weeks. Oh at all. Derrick proclaiming he deserves a spot in the final 2? No ma'am.

  6. And it makes no sense when he’s even questioned himself how he can possibly win with zero competitions wins. It’s almost downright vengeful.

  7. Hannah was the person I was really rooting for. I knew if Azah had power she wouldn’t make an good decision. At this point hopefully it’s X that wins. It would of been something if it was Azah or Derek as the final two.

  8. It still can be, if Kyland ends up leaving this week and SOMEHOW Xavier doesn't win the 3 part final HOH comp.

    Edit:
Xavier won Veto. So Kyland will likely be saved. I imagine then Azah will be leaving this week.

  9. Kyland is Xavier's target this week. Kyland is mad about it.

  10. Oop. Well.
I mean, he is the strongest person in the house aside from him, so that makes sense. Buuuuuut I don't feel like it's great jury management to target him.

  11. No one in the jury respects Kyland, not even SB. Xavier already has the game won if he's in the final 2, so I doubt he'll get any backlash from this.

  12. Xavier can take any of the three to the end and get the win, so he really should take Azah. Jury will love if he cuts Kyland.

  13. I kind of want Derek to be in the final 2... JUST to hear what his final "please vote for me to win" plea would be.

In that jury video, I was surprised to see that Derek and Britini didn't grasp what we have been seeing as viewers all along: The Black players were sticking together in hopes of crowning a Black winner. Derek also seemed genuinely shocked to learn there has never been a Black winner. Do you think all the evicted houseguests were blind to the unprecedented amount of people of color on the show this season and how it could lead to a historic outcome?

First of all, you have to remember the fact that you as a viewer saw it all, but people in the house either see what they want to see or they see what is being presented to them. The Cookout members were brilliant in keeping their unity under wraps. They didn't flaunt it, they didn't brag about it. They didn't weaponize it to intimidate others. Also, Derek and Britini are only 24 years old. I feel this is important to point out because it gives me hope for the future. I hope and pray all young people… use discernment when picking and choosing who they align with. And when they do see someone with different skin color, race, heritage, and native tongue, that they want to learn more about them to find common ground and unity in some way. We are all children of God and we are all created in His own image. Let's help people become the person God created them to be instead of dividing separating is from one another.

By nominating Hannah, Azah reduced the chances of a woman winning this game. Do you believe Azah has a prayer of winning at this point?

I believe all things are possible with the strength of Christ. I don't know how deep her faith is, but if it's strong and if she has a personal relationship with the Lord, then yes it's possible! Derek Frazier has had zero luck in the competitions. It's so sad.

Derek can't win a challenge to save his life. Did you ever want to call the producers and say, can't you just let them build Lego houses or something?

I love Derek F! I feel like he has such a great social game that he doesn't need to win any competitions. Also, I have heard him say on the live shows he loves God and he loves his mother. In my humble opinion, if both are true, this guy is going all way! Amen.

  15. Derek doesn't have a great social game. He's kept around because he's not a threat (and a member of the Cookout) and that's about it. Other than that, he just sleeps. He's really been no part in any decision made ever, he hasn't had to do any heavy duty convincing or manipulating. So... okay Julie whatever.

  16. Julie is such an odd individual and it's actually kind of amazing. I enjoy her so much.

  17. I do look forward to her strange and ominous life advice after each live eviction episode. And how excited she gets anytime any houseguest mentions God. It's kind of goofy.
But the -Moonves really ruins things. Very awkward.

  18. It's hilarious at how oblivious he is.

  19. I’ve actually enjoyed watching Kyland unravel, Derek’s delusion and Azah regret all of her decisions… all while X sits confident & pretty, knowing he has that check in the palm of his hands.

That said, I’d rather spend the next week (!) of episodes exclusively in the Jury House.

  20. Here to watch Xavier most likely win. Hoping for some chaos and Azah pulls out a win.

Edit - Whoops, though the finale was tonight. How the fuck is there another week of this?
