I was just making a silly joke because we sometimes call The Weeknd a "BPG" in his thread and recognize that – just like Lil Nas X and Bad Bunny – Abel does the BPG thing just as well as some PopJustice-certified BPGs: delivering an era with a fantastic and massive pop album, big singles, visuals that build a universe and narrative around the music, memorable performances, an overly ambitious tour and a couple of high profile collaborations (he does appear in this rate with "LA FAMA" so I'll take this as a win). I did not expect Dawn FM to be included in this rate. Of course he's not a Big Pop Girl.
I apologize if my comment felt out of place and/or was awkwardly phrased. I had no intention to imply that a male artist's work should be included in this rate over a female artist's one. I value this rate – and forum – for being a place where music made by women is celebrated, especially when music publications and the industry in general tend to not give them the platform, recognition or attention they deserve.
