Charli XCX: droning over a sparse electronic beat about being afraid of saying dumb shit in a career full of soundbytes and tweets expelled from her lower intestine like that video of Demi Lovato farting
The forum: sometimes i just had to stop because the lyrics were too deep. they would leave me in tears :/
Taylor Swift: Intricately details the rise and fall and fall of two relationships with some of the best writing of her career.

Swifties continuously coming for the only genuine bop on the album, and a song that will likely do fairly well exactly because of that... the self-sabotage is very much real.
You gave that one a 10 didn't youSwifties continuously coming for the only genuine bop on the album, and a song that will likely do fairly well exactly because of that... the self-sabotage is very much real.
Sis, I genuinely wouldn't know what side is supposed to apply to what album until I reach "bloated mess" in these descriptions.Maybe one of these artists has built a deliberately distant and alienating public image and released an album where that disconnect finally snaps in some really resonant ways while the other has built her career upon being #relatable despite being increasingly not and also her latest just being a bloated mess. Maybe they're not the same! Maybe.
Sis after your ballad argument last week I don't trust you to make any quantitative judgments on what constitutes a bop!
Though seriously, what other songs on TTPD would you describe as bops?
I echo the sentiment of please let's kick out Picture You/Kaleidoscope.
I also feel like some of these girls are probably benefiting from multiple people throwing 10s at even their most middling material,
Beb no disrespect (ok maybe a bit) but haven't you awarded a 10 to one of the Katy songs this time around? We really should, and yet
I'm sure it's either Charli or Sabrina.I think you should say it.
I can see why you might think this, but this genuinely isn’t really the case. In fact, if there were any ‘anomalies’ in voting, it actually was with Taylor, who commonly received album averages in the 6.5-7 range and then BAM, a 9+ average would come through. Most of the other albums received a tighter range of averages, just shifted up a bit.I also feel like some of these girls are probably benefiting from multiple people throwing 10s at even their most middling material, because there are definitely some albums that really should have lost more songs by this point.
