Hot to Go received a 0, right? and absolutely no tagging of that person, other than by the host?!?!? Where's your 'count your days' post to that 0-scorer, @aux. I know BPG is meant to be fun, but your post led to my score being called 'deranged'? That Southern England bitch is the 'Music' era Sia of the PopJustice Forum.

Obviously, Hot to Go will always be a 10, but it was not my winner of the album or artist.

FIVE, SIX.
FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT.

“HOT TO GO!” was the last official single from Chappell’s debut album. It’s also the last music video she has released thus far, which is insane, considering how much the video and its choreography are part of why this song became a massive hit. I’m being so serious when I say that I cannot, under any circumstance, listen to this song and not do the stupidly iconic dance.

I know it’s corny, but to me, the choreography and the song mean a lot. I don’t want to get too emotional over a song that isn’t like that at all, but… I will. I’ve been a really distant older brother to my siblings. I was the oldest by a significant margin, born from a different marriage than them and left the country at a different time than them. Due to the fairly large distance in age and literally between countries, I always felt fairly disconnected with them. I only really chatted with them during their birthdays and occasional impromptu calls.

Earlier this year, I got the chance to see them in person after years of not seeing them. It was actually a really nice experience and one that I will really cherish. On the first night, I arrived wearing my Eras Tour merch (it’s the best attire for the airport hehe) and it turned out my little sister, the youngest of us all, was also wearing the same shirt. We really connected over that and began talking about music the entire trip.

At one point, Chappell came up in conversation, in particular, this song and we both ended up doing the dance while playing the song. It was such a stupid thing, but after years of feeling disconnected with them, it felt like we were never really apart emotionally just physically. Throughout the trip, we kept playing her music and doing any of the other dances she knew (yes, this included Charli’s “Apple” dance too).

To this day, we talk fairly frequently now, way more than before. She doesn’t live somewhere where many artists go to so whenever I’m at a gig, I’ll always record her a video or if it’s an artist she really likes, I’ll call her over FaceTime for her favourite song. In part, I owe that reconnection with her to this song. I think “HOT TO GO!” is a great song, if a bit grating and corny, but man, I cannot listen to it without thinking of reconnecting with my siblings.

After all that from me, here is @sapnu puas' reasoning for giving it a 0 "can't stand it - first song i heard from her and it put me off listening to anymore of her music for the longest time. hard pass."

What the feck is thes?

This should have been top 20, y'all.

"Everything is romantic" didn't get full marks from me because the remix takes its concept and makes it into a 12/10. If it was in the rate, it probably would have been my highest scoring track. Potentially my favourite song of last year. How it inverts the original's wonder, how it could have only come out exactly when it came out, the super unique perspective, the whole meta commentary of it all. That, and it just sounds sublime.

everything is romantic going out already, I guess it wasn't just Taylor's elimination order that was random as hell.

I think Ariana's elimination order is the only one that's even been close to what I was expecting. This top 20 is going to be a disaster.
