I love the album but I like her so much, she seems like such a cool person. Even though she will still do massive numbers, I really wanted her to clinch the #1 after Happier than Ever was unfairly maligned.

I think these were always coming (same with the listening party footage she dropped), but I don’t doubt they were pushed to get them out earlier to try to secure her spot or higher
I'm glad to be one of those people that don't care about the chart battles and just enjoy the fact we got 4 great to fantastic albums in the matter of 3 months from Ari, Beyonce, Taylor and Billie. You could count Dua too if you're an easy to please Eurogay.
We need the audience to keep buying the album!

All 5 of those albums (and other girls'!) being varying shades of triumphant is really something. A banner year for pop.
It really has been a wild year for BPGs. The best since 2016, no question. Ariana giving us the best music of her career, Bey building another essential pop culture monument, Dua giving the girlies the perfect soundtrack for a carefree and sexy summer, Billie fulfilling her potential with a perfect, concise little masterpiece.
And Taylor Swift released an album too.

It doesn’t really matter who ends up in the no. 1 spot, whenever there’s a chart battle, both artists win. It’s the diehard fans who lose. We’ve seen this movie too many times now.
Some even lose their minds. And PJ accounts.
Well maybe she won’t get the #1 album on the Billboard 200 this week but... she’s winning big time anyway.
