Björk - Fossora

Do you consider Heirloom, An echo a stain and Harm of will the deep cuts on Vespertine? Do you consider Vespertine definitely a summer album?

Yes to all the above but makes me think of the cruel sun a lot too. But I have extreme reactions to all weather so it fits all the moods. I would say it is maybe my fave from all her albums
Also I had natural negative feel towards listening to some later stuff but you guys made me want to listen to Fossora

Yeah "Vespertine" has always just screamed winter type of album to me.

And another opportunity to spotlight this stunning obscure song which seems directly inspired by that era:

Yes to the first question. An Echo a Stain and Harm of Will might actually be my Top 2.

Vespertine is a winter album in my mind for obvious reasons, but I’ve always been intrigued as to why she chose to release it in the summer.

Biophilia feels very early fall to me, Post is probably her most “summer” album. Volta gives me late spring vibes.

You could make a summer-y playlist out of her albums. Big time sensuality, Wanderlust (Ratatat), i miss you, oh so quiet, Alarm Call, Innocence, etc
