I hate Cornucopia. Fortunately knowing her the next tour will be the exact opposite. I would consider seeing her live again if she would go for rough, intimate setting.
I hate Cornucopia. Fortunately knowing her the next tour will be the exact opposite. I would consider seeing her live again if she would go for rough, intimate setting.
"Hate" is a strong word, but yeah, Cornucopia isn't my jam either. Probably because it's so based on the worldbuilding around Utopia, which also wasn't my jam. I wish she were giving Orkestral a wide release instead, and then going on to those rougher, more intimate shows next time around. But I know... it's not up to me (ha).
I loved Cornucopia the first time, it got stale, but also not everybody sees it multiple times. What was tiring was that she also toured Utopia before and there was so much to be found in here. She barely updated it after Fossora came out. It’s definitely time for a complete restart.
And while I loved Orchestral, it also missed some energy for me personally. I guess what she does with the next new tour depends on which way she goes with the album. If for example her passion for Shygirl continues, I could imagine her putting up a bit of a bass into her shows again.
But it’s Björk so chances are she plays a fiddle behind a curtain next.
Also it would be great if masks are leaving and she changes her creative team. We’re stuck with the same aesthetics for quite a while now. Although it also led to some breathtaking outfits.
