I knew Santi would be done wrong but I didn't expect it to be this bad. I was probably too generous with some of the others... (though I am slowly turning into a SZA Stan and will regret some of my scores soon)

Anything

Highest score: 10 x 5 (@Posh Spears, @happiestgirl, @ohnostalgia, @Solenciennes, @Sanctuary)
Lowest scores: 6 x 2 (@BML, @soratami)
5.5 x 2 (@A&E, @TRAVVV)
My score: 8.5

Track background: Again with production from The Antydote, “Anything” features a looping sample of the beginning synths of Donna Summer’s “Spring Reprise”, from the late singer’s 1976 album Four Seasons of Love. “Anything” was co-written with Tyran Donaldson, clocking in at a BPM of 152.

My thoughts: That fucking OUTRO. I especially live for her vocal playfulness on this track, which if you know me...is one of her vocal tics that drives me fucking INSANE. The “down for the ride” part as well as “do-do, you even know I’m alive, do-do…” ugh. There’s so much about this song to get lost in. So much fun, which is weird, when the lyrics, at least to me, seem to be about seeking validation and attention from a potential fuckboy. But we've all been there before, amiriteladies.gif?. Kii.

Your thoughts:
@Bangers&Bops (9) - This song is so pretty to me. Though it makes me sad to hear, it was about time that she vocalizes what she’s been hinting at asking the entire album: “Do you even know I’m alive?”SZA even begins to blame herself for the situation she has been put in “Maybe I should pray a little harder/Or work a little smarter.” This should be the track that explains the album and the actions she discusses throughout.
@Posh Spears (10) - My goodness that outro… I can hear god dot gif
@ohnostalgia (10) - I sat up in my chair when those stomps came in. Nothing like a great percussive element to send me to the stratosphere.
@constantino (9) - I love the fluttering, jittery nature of the production, especially with the way Solána’s vocalisation syncs with it. I imagine this would be fun live. This would be a 10 if it was a bit more fleshed out.
@Solenciennes (10) - Me at the office I’ve worked in for nearly two years but have yet to make a proper friend from.
@Trouble in Paradise (7.5) - The production feels fresh and different compared to the majority of the album. I adore the Donna Summer sample.
