Blake Lewis- Audio Day Dream

I hated his “beat boxâ€￾ during American Idol but I love the single and the great “space ageâ€￾ album cover (despite the spelling of "Anotha"). Will there be a UK release?

Thank goodness it wasn’t that preposterous bow-tie cover!

I think he's just okay.

On a first listen, it's pretty blah music, in my opinion. I hope it's a grower. None of it seems too 'hit' worthy, but then again in America all the hits are filthy, terrible songs, so that might not be a bad thing. :\

With his exposure on American Idol I think it will be a hit regardless of how good the song is.

Hes a little too Justin Timberblake though, he needs to find his own sound if he wants to last.

I have to say, I much, much prefer this to either Justin album. I've been listening to it constantly for the last couple of days. Surrender is still ace, and I'm really liking How Many Words and the one that follows Surrender, the name of which escapes me. Granted it doesn't have anything as brilliant as either Cry Me A River or SexyBack, but on the whole it's a much more enjoyable listen for me.

And people are complaining about the new J.Lo video... That one looks like a million dollar Blockbuster next to this crap.
Then again, "Umbrella" is pretty shitty either and won "Monster Video of the Year" (an award that "What Goes around..." deserved, only for it's highly stylized cinematography. "Ayo Technology" is a pretty good video, too, even though the subject matter it's depicting is disgusting.)

Where have all the $$$ gone....
Just have him in a black suit with two dancers in front of a white wall and you'd have a better video.

I was slightly destroyed when I saw it this morning. Aside from a couple moments where he makes some gestures that remind so much of K-Fed that I could put my foot through the screen...at least he looks good. The parts of him could be okay if there was less of it and something else inbetween.

I think, espically for US artists, people don't see the point in spending money on a video anymore. You don't need them...they hardly show them on TV and the big shots are too far behind on the internet concept to see that as much of an outlet. There's no money in it for them....no one talks about videos anymore here in the States.

The music video hasn't died, especially among young people. It's simply moved to the internet. I can't wait to see the youtube comments on this mess of a video.

Such a tacky waste of time.....Windows movie maker could have come up with better.

He is the only one of the American idol contestants I thought could be promising.Watered down soulless crap.

It did, go watch "Gimme More", although maybe the only reason that video is saved is because of seeing Britney genuinely smile for once and her undeniable charisma.

*End Britney praise, sorry.

Oh God, please somebody tell me that is NOT the official video? Whyyyyy!

This is even worse than Elliot Yamin's Wait For You - I'm at a loss for words. And yes, as someone said here earlier, it also makes Brit's Gimme More look like a fucking blockbuster.

On the video...it looks like something Blake would do. :\ I'm all for the "new photoshop extreme graphics" shit, but its all so cheap. There's no real flow to it. It's just a bunch of crappy Windows Media Player sound effects with Blake in front of it. And the shitty camera angles? No clue as to what that was all about. I think Blake is amazing, but the video definitely not.

I don't think we ought to be too worried by this video. He's just getting his fanboy out of his system. I'm sure one of his buds who's "so skilled with video editing" was behind the Break Anotha vid and they were both stoked to make one of their YouTube videos into the official music video for a major label release. He's nothing if he's not earnest.

Expect a glossy vid for the second single.
