Okay, these song might be on a beige side, but there are still fine, so I hope that Taylor cull is somewhat halted at this point.

For some reason the title of this had me expecting a reflective song about cheating on a boyfriend and knowing that you didn't get away with it, but as if Taylor would go there. Instead we got this bouncy little number serving 'How You Get the Girl' teas. I like the chorus of this one, and that revved-up pre chorus is fun too, but the verses plod a bit and the lyrics ain't all that. As is the case on almost this entire record, Taylor has done it in the past, but better. Honestly sis, take like three SOLID years off and spend them doing more than just staring at Joe while he sleeps, and I think it will serve you a world of good creatively.

Her first studio album in six years, Afterglow is a decadent slice of early-'00s adult pop. It went double platinum in the US and notched a Best Pop Vocal Album nomination at the Grammys, and spawned three iconic singles - Fallen, Stupid, and World on Fire - that your fave frankly will never touch because your fave can't even get one single out without getting dropped from--

wait

wait shit sorry

-- just been informed this is a Taylor Swift song and not a writeup for Sarah McLachlan's 2003 record. Yes! Taylor! Afterglow! Taylor wrote this song after...a glo-up...there was a makeover, yeah, a makeover and it, it went well, but then the boy got too arrogant and in a drunken rage Taylor revealed that she was being paid $1000 to pose as his girlfriend for a month--

wait sorry that's the plot to the Patrick Dempsey movie Can't Buy Me Love

I don't remember this song let me listen to it

OH YES THIS SONG.

I liked Daylight, I Think He Knows, and especially Cornelia Street more, but this is fine. I could've used more...immensity? In that last minute? But I do think I underscored it a little.

What the actual fuck....

This is a trainwreck.

Lowkey shook that Its Nice To Have a Friend is still in the running. I thought I was the only stan.

The annihilation of Lover, we love to see it. Especially teamed up against three far superior albums.

Afterglow isn’t much a casualty, I assumed it would bow out before the better songs from Lover that have already left.

Needy, listen before you go and Good As Hell have outstayed their welcome.

I mean we're cutting the best Taylor songs if you ask me, so I'm not even going to be mad when the rest minus Miss Americana and It's Nice To Have a Friend get eliminated.

Me: Taylor is spinning her wheels and desperately needs new ideas

Me listening to Taylor sing high school metaphors once again about lockers and bullies and teachers and lunch ladies and senior pranks and getting drunk off two wine coolers and pregnancy scares and getting cast as Anybodys in West Side Story when you badly wanted to be Maria:
