Bravo - General Discussion

This looks great! It's also coming at the perfect time because I'm feeling a little checked out of the original Summer House. As some of you have already said, it's building towards something great with Danielle vs The Babes but it's a very slow build, and the unbalanced cast isn't really working for me.

Chris is such a flop addition to Summer House. I just find him utterly embarrassing. Stealing Ciara’s underwear, surely that’s a crime or something. It feels it should be one.

Kory on the other hand…

So Kory and Sam are dating officially.

The thing is Sam and Gabby handle the Hubhouse and Danielle situ better as they have no horse in the race, the Bitter Bed Bitches just want Hubs to absolutely go down in flames, which is an awful dynamic.
Poor Chris, the editors are doing him no favours, like Alex last year.

Hmmm Ciara, Mya (both being the sort of Mean Girls they always claimed they weren't), Paige, Amanda, Carl and Kyle can sort of just not come back at this point, especially as I feel the Reunion will be another Hubhouse Gangup.

I like Chris, while Cory remains an insufferable addition to my television screen. That said, neither of these men have the Kyle main character energy this show needs from male cast additions. It's clear the reunion will be Hubbs & Carl VS everyone, and I just hope they take the show in a new direction next season. Get rid of these couples and let's see how these people do without them.

I've started Southern Charm as background noise and I don't think there's ever been a reality show with more sinister energy. I can't believe this made it to air.
You know, I thought Vanderpump Rules was peak toxicity but Southern Charm… Literally this entire cast needs to be in jail.

I’ve made it to season 5 and Kathryn’s character arc is WILD. I know it took all the strength in the universe for her not to knock Ashley’s teeth out after she called her an egg donor.

Also, Landon is one of the worst reality tv personalities of all time. Her nervous laughing at the end of every sentence made me nauseous.

I feel dirty watching this show.

It really is disgusting television, and I love every bit of it. I also adored Landon, so that speaks to my standard of entertainment.

I mean, I appreciate the mess she gave us. She's just SO annoying. That whole storyline with her fake travel website was embarrassing.

I did scream at the fact that they had her living on a boat during her first season. Not even a nice one!

I'm struggling finishing this season of Family Karma. I like that it is less negative than other Bravo shows, but maybe it needs to be a little messier.

Also I hate weddings, like hate, hate ALL weddings and this season featured two. Ugh.

Summer's supposed to be fun...

Yay for Rachel getting a guest slot, boo that Jason strung his friendship out with her so he could hitch on her back for a cameo on the series (I believe Rachel was asked to be a regular, but her work is weekend based).
Yet again another painful Lindsey and Danielle conversation, where neither are doing enough to save the relationship I feel.

I get it, Hubhouse has got together with her very good friend of six years, so to her, nothing is too fast when they've known each other so long (and had that one hilariously awful date a couple of years back)...
Where as Danielle sees them separate, and their relationship is less than a year old, and she worries for her.
The fact neither can see the other one's side when they've always been so compatible with their opinions is awful, but so real, it does happen like this with best friends.
It also makes compelling tv...

Seeing everyone out the house was fun, I sort of ship Sam and Kory (HOT), though Hubhouse would never have let the Bitter Bed Witches in her flat if it wasn't being filmed... FACT

I wonder if they’ll be invited to the wedding? But like you said if it’s being filmed I’m sure they will. Paige’s disdain for Lindsey is obvious regardless if they made up.

The Danielle/Lindsey situation is truly odd. Looks we‘ll have to wait until the reunion where they’ll have to confront each other yet again. Friendship changes. I don’t see what the big deal is.

Hayu pushing "Ashlee and Evan are perfect #couplegoals"... I hope no one has pressed play on that.

I can’t get my head around the tone of that show. It appears to be them mumbling to each other in their small accommodation, and the camera just happened to be there. Its as if the show wasn’t made with any intention at all.

I’m starting Summer House from season 1. I’ve seen some episodes before but never actually watched it.

I am a Christina apologist because I too would not want my roommate to bring their interns in to work from our shared apartment living room.

I often wonder whatever happened to Christina. She was done so dirty, and clearly didn't have the backbone to handle reality television.

I really appreciated how much fun the cast had in this week's episode as a group; the cast has been lacking that chemistry as an ensemble. And naturally the Bitter Bed Witches couldn't be bothered to participate in any of it. For me, it was a prime example of how great this show could be again if we just lose the lame couples. That said, watching Hubbsy's drunken bedtime spiral on Carl was a ridiculous highlight.

I’m catching up on the last two weeks Summer House. Carl talking about brother was probably the first sincere scene we’ve had this season. He and Danielle are the only truly likeable ones.

This weeks episode was great and a return to form. Lindsay being activated and seemingly activating the rest of the house was much needed.
