Now That I Found You is completely euphoric to listen to but the similarities to Avicii are ridiculous. Heck, it's not even similar, it's nearly identical!

3/10 from Spin. Ouch!

In fact, the record probably will be completely eclipsed by the year's one masterful Brit moment: the "Everytime" sequence in Spring Breakers, wherein Harmony Korine outfits his female leads with rifles and pink ski masks to gather around James Franco as he croaks out a self-accompanied rendition of Spears' last hit ballad. Her original then accompanies a slo-mo montage of Franco and the girls mugging and bashing anyone unlucky enough to have stumbled into their blunt-fueled path. As casually violent as the song is melodramatically haunted, that sequence emphasized how malleable Spears can be, and how easily the American teenage dream she's never stopped embodying can morph into a nightmare.

Britney's matured to the point where she has absolutely nothing to prove. As long as she keeps her core base fulfilled, that's the only goal.

Which this is failing to do...

I questioned on most tracks if it was even Britney singing on them, the album is dire - her worst.

The verses on "Chillin' with You" are actually amazing. It's the chorus that's the problem.

A friend aptly described the chorus of Chillin With You as having all the lyricism of a trash can falling over.

So, how did will.i.am and co get away with putting out "Now That I Found You" which a strong melodic similarity to 'Wake Me Up'? The drop's melody resemblance seems more than a coincidence, given that it sounds almost exactly the same as 'Wake Me Up'.

Yeah I think that if NTIFY was released the backlash in the press about the copying (it's not similar, it's a straight lift) from Wake Me Up by Avicii would really hurt it.

It didn't hurt Born This Way (the song) or Roar. I think Britney would be fine.

This album really is tragic.

One song copied a hit from 20 years ago and the other copied a song that wasn't a hit.

Britney is copying one of the biggest worldwide hits this year. It's not the same at all.
