The problem is that Britney isn't even hitting the standard requirements of modern popstars these days. Energetic performances, Nope. Interviews with personality nadda. Showing any interest in her career. 0 for 3.

And I say meh. I'd rather have low key Britney than no Britney at all. She paid her dues, now she's just cashing them in.

At least she still dances better than most of pop stars right now. But I guess that, for many of you, that's not enough. Damn, sometimes I wish she hadn't set her standards too high haha.

Yeah, see, it wasn't amazing but now amongst all this micro-analysis we're acting like it's the worst thing she ever done.

It was quite good. Till The World Ends at least.

Enrique is the pressing issue here.

So I was watching ESPN and they played Till The World Ends during a basketball game. (it may have been during halftime or a commercial even..I don't know. All I know is I looked up and it was playing with basketball going on.)

To make people think 'ooh she's singing live' and then just assume she is for the rest of the performance. And probably because she's too lazy to do the whole thing of course.

That's if she did even pre record obviously.

Sounds like the same voice on the recorded version, only less auto-tuned to make it sound 'live'.

It's a shame they didn't get the dance break in Big Fat Bass in that video, it looks ridiculous to have her just sat miming on a box and think that that's it. There's no excuse for her not having a go at doing the verses on there either, they are literally talking verses.

Didn't get a chance to see her last night, but word around town was that we didn't miss much. I don't think the show went over very well...just an observation.

Hold It Against Me is the worst performance of her career.

There. I said it. In VMA2007 she actually did the choreography kinda well.. it was just shite choreography. This choreography is great and she is literally 1/100th-arseing it. If she does that routine, with late-Circus tour energy, we essentially have Britney back. But that would be 'she's gonna do it better next time, I swear!' excuse 206543 so - no.

S'funny. Because the art direction of that performance is probably the best of her career.

[EDIT] Big Fat Bass. will.i.am has done a backing video. le sigh.

VMA 07, shit thought it undeniably was, was possibly the last time we've actually had a proper choreographed routine that she actually sort of followed through with, with the exception of that Mannequin rehearsal video. Everything since has just been so stilted and poorly executed blech.

Till The World Ends is decent thankfully. I'd rather she just performed that one three times in different outfits.
