Re: Britney Spears - 7th Album {March 2011}

If Britney pulls a massive, world-conquering lead single out of the bag then she'll get a No.1 album in the UK. The last two haven't really been up to the task, so we'll how things go.

I think Britney is going to have no trouble going #1 in March, I hope she finally gets it! I wonder what excuse people will use next when'if her album goes #1 and her single...there will be no holiday sales, and no comeback "hype" as so many love to throw around. I'm sure people will find something...or just chalk it up to her "fanbase" cause we are that powerful and all./sarcasm

It'll be "because it was a quiet period in the market". You heard it here first.

Re: Britney Spears - 7th Album {March 2011}

Also regarding her next tour, would you guys rather her ditch Circus and Blackout songs in favor of Slave, Oops, etc. Or would you prefer Blackout and Circus over the oldies?

For all I care, she could stop performing Baby One More Time, Boys (not gonna happen), Me Against the Music, Breathe On Me etc.

I just need my Slave and Toxic. All the rest from 2004-prior can go.

The UK doesn't deserve Britney after giving Christina a #1 album, while Britney has so desperately wanted the same..with no success.

Remember UK, you made Bionic #1....for shame.

Bionic is brilliant. :/ And it deserved #1.

Circus, iirc, came out at a busy time in the year. Britney was still kinda ... idk, "uncool" when In The Zone came out and only appealed to a fanbase and w/ Blackout, she was being portrayed pretty badly by the media. I don't think many people took her too seriously. I don't think she'll have a problem getting to #1 in March though.

Re: Britney Spears - 7th Album {March 2011}

This is off topic, but does anyone know anything about Take the Bait or Abroad? Besides the fact that they exist. Why were they scrapped?

I agree with this. Her early songs, no matter how huge and well known, seem to clash horribly with her post In The Zone material. It just doesn't work.

Re: Britney Spears - 7th Album {March 2011}

I love when artist play older material, clash or not, its a highlight and doesn't totally disregard the fans that have been there from the beginning.

Re: Britney Spears - 7th Album {March 2011}

...Baby One More Time has to be performed on every tour she ever does no matter what.

Oh but she really needs to stop Everytime.

Re: Britney Spears - 7th Album {March 2011}

Every "classic" song she performed for The Circus was a total snoozefest. I'd rather not hear her old songs. She will have plenty enough new material to make up the bulk of her setlist this time around, and it wouldn't kill her acknowledge Circus' existence. It has some weak songs, but it's new material regardless and they could be transformed into something amazing with live remixes.

Re: Britney Spears - 7th Album {March 2011}

For the next tour I would like Baby One More Time, Stronger (so appropriate and always seems to be overlooked), Slave, Toxic, Everytime (if sang live and remixed like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZIEr7ExWbo), Gimme More (still haven't got over her not doing this on Circus), Piece of Me, Womanizer and 3.

That's 9 leaving another 9 tracks from the new album.

Re: Britney Spears - 7th Album {March 2011}

At some point in her/my life, she MUST perform "Before the Goodbye." It would be SOOOOO unbelievable live.

Can we get some 'Lucky' and 'Toy Soldier?!'

Re: Britney Spears - 7th Album {March 2011}

I dream of her someday recreating the car moment on My Prerogative. Regardless, she MUST do the song live.

Having not ever performed two of her 'lead singles' (MP and GM) is criminal.

Re: Britney Spears - 7th Album {March 2011}

Its a shame that we never got Britney to do My Prerogative. I have imagined her dancing to the breakdown so many times in my head.

Okay I realise this might sounds diabolically CRAZY but I hope a couple of tracks sound like this -

So a dubstep Love The Way You Lie? It's not too bad an idea.
Oh dear, no. It IS the dubstep version of Love the Way You Lie. Anything but that for Britney! (And sarcasm about my earlier post....sort of. I kinda like that Infectious demo).
