The last Q&A was so fixed. There was one poster that his first tweet was at Britney. So the account was made just for her to answer the question.

Maybe they signed up to twitter to ask the question to Brit?

@BritneySpears will be sitting down to do her fan Q&A on twitter tomorrow, February 10th, at about 10:30 Pacific.

LOL And I bet if we check out paparazzi pics, she will be at a Starbucks somewhere while she is allgedly tweeting. Just like the time she sent out a tweet while she was on stage.

LAME. Quit hiding and being lazy and get out there and work woman. She's obviously avoiding the press so she doesn't have to discuss the dark year but if she ever just owned up to it everyone could move on and she would be a lot more relatable.

There was no OMG BRITNEY JUST ANSWERED MY QUESTION!!1!!!!! after it though.

If she performed at the Grammy's it'd totally render all the hype they're creating for the video pointless. The video premiere won't be half as exciting if we've already seen her do the routine.

I don't really think it's her being afraid of answering questions about her past, as much as it is that she's become so painfully shy and quiet, her answers would really add nothing. You can only find everything cool and awesome so far before it becomes embarrassing.

Or it's her team trying to make her into a Michael Jackson, where any line she might utter becomes of utmost interest. So far, sadly for fans, it's working. You work with Britney, it's the first question an interviewer will ask: "how is Britney like?" It creates a LOT of mystery about her persona. Everyone wants to see and hear her.

It's probably the first option though.

Well they just joined so probably didn't even have any followers to talk to.

And this is why I yearn for Britney to take control of her music. Not to prove that she's an artist or that she's conscious or anything else like that, simply because I think it would be such an interesting album with her at the helm for most of the writing. I mean, she's not a songwriter by nature, but she could surely work with an absolute ton of talented writers who could help her turn her experiences into great songs. Some of Michael Jackson's most interesting work when he was angry or frustrated. You're telling me Britney has not felt these emotions in the last few years? Tell me through a good song! I'm really curious!

Re: Britney Spears - Femme Fatale {7th Album - March 2011}

Still though, wouldn't you at least tweet thank you to Britney or go crazy anyway. I'm not saying every question was fixed, but I'm sure a few questions were. I've seen it with other twitter Q&A's with the same account getting multiple questions answered, just so what they want to get answered does.

Re: Britney Spears - Femme Fatale {7th Album - March 2011}

The only thing I DO like about Britney's absence is that she really is letting the music speak for itself. And beyond that, I feel like the Britney brand is much more focused on creating good songs than crazy visuals or selling it on her sex appeal or personality. Britney is becoming known for making great pop music, not for her personal life. Will.I.Am working with her so last minute shows us that he probably heard "Hold It Against Me" and was impressed. Then again, this man has teamed up with Cheryl Cole, so maybe he just saw the dollar signs when "Hold It Against Me" broke every first day record, and wanted to get in on a piece of them.

The same thing happens every year.

"Britney will be performaning at the VMA's..."
fast forward to the actual night and she doesn't even attend.

Britney WILL NOT be performing at the Grammy's..
What more needs to be said? This shouldn't even really be a discussion.

Did they ever explicitly say she wasn't performing? I thought Adam just repeatedly said "rumors are just rumors", etc, etc?

They did. Then rumours resurfaced, they said it again, and people were annoyed it "took them so long to respond".

I think this all might have something to do with Teresa leaving Jive...

Just a feeling.

Teresa didn't switch companies though, she just moved from Jive to Columbia - both of which are labels owned by Sony BMG. She recently gave an interview saying she was doing the A&R work on Beyonce's new album and the article lists her as the A&R of Britney upcoming album as well.

Check your facts - there is nothing factually incorrect about my post.

Saying something is "last minute" and that "Britney is notoriously for recording last minute" and that she's done it for almost all her previous albums is WRONG. She has 6 previous studio albums. The first three were finished, mixed and mastered far before the first single was released to radio. The fourth was also finished completely, and the tracklist was finalised the week before the first single went to radio. These are FACTS. If you had followed her career as attentively as I have done since 1999, you'd know this, simply from remembering the press releases and electronic press kits that came out for each album.

Piece Of Me was one of the last songs she recorded for Blackout, but it wasn't 'last minute' at all. She was carrying a disc containing a lot of demo versions of songs that ended up on Blackout in February 2007 - months and months before the album was mixed and mastered. Teresa wasn't sure Piece Of Me was suitable, but Britney, having no management, decided to go for it. It was recorded, mixed and mastered before Gimme More was sent to radio, hence it appearing in early reviews of the album.

One report claimed Britney had gone back in the studio to record additional vocals for Womanizer, and that had delayed its premiere - most reports reported that it had been delayed "due to undisclosed issues with the mix." In fact, we never even had an official premiere date from Jive/Sony until they announced 29th September 2008, when it hit radio stations around the world. She was not recording for the album in October or November 2008 - the album was mixed and mastered, and a 4-track promo had been sent out with the final, finished, mastered mixes.

So, please, check YOUR facts. Recording tracks for the album - brand new tracks - as she is now, 3-4 weeks after the first single premiered, and just about 7 weeks from the album release date, is incredibly rare, and not just for Britney.
...Baby One More Time
Released January 12, 1999
Recorded August 1997–November 1998
...Baby One More Time (single) released October 23, 1998
Oops!...I Did It Again
Released May 16, 2000
Recorded September 20, 1999–April 2000
Oops! (single) released March 27, 2000
In The Zone
Released November 16, 2003
Recorded December 2002 – October 2003
These previous albums were still being recorded 1-2 months before the release date. Femme Fatale is still a little over 1.5 months (March 29) from release. The recording schedule for Femme Fatale falls in line with the schedules for some of her previous efforts. As far as your claim of the first single always being released before the album is wrapped, as you can see "....Baby One More Time" and "Oops!...I Did It Again" (the singles) were released before the respective albums were finished being recorded.

Re: Britney Spears - Femme Fatale {7th Album - March 2011}

You can look at it however you want, but I think it all just seems so shady. Nothing seems to add up in this era. It all seems scatterbrained, last minute, and incredibly generic. Nothing more than a quick buck for Jive before the end of their fiscal year. As a matter of fact, it feels like another greatest hits album in the making. I know it's not, but everything just has that air of "whatever, as long as we make our money" that Greatest Hits eras so often possess.

For fucks sake, Adam said she's not performing...and yet people will still be throwing a temper tantrum when she doesn't. Britney fans truly are a fry short of a happy meal.
