Not sure what white has to do with it, but most of my friends are straight men. It's definitely a thing that some guys can't admit they like pop music. I would say that trend has sort of blown over now and no one really cares what you like. One of my two best friends is a straight male who likes Robyn and can get into some Britney songs.

But yeah there are definitely guys with insecurity issues who feel admitting they like pop is feminine (and thus, that being feminine is bad.)

Maybe it's from living in San Francisco where people are really open minded, but I've definitely noticed an uptick in the amount of straight men who are comfortable admitting they like pop music.

Whoa. I wasn't agreeing with @spiceinvaders post just so we're clear. I do my best to never make sweeping generalizations, ever.

My father and many of my friends are straight white men. My dad is obsessed with Shakira and Linda Perry (yes, seriously.)

Not sure if your post was a reaction to mine, but I was just giving my 2 cents, I have no stake in this argument.

@spiceinvaders is a good guy, I'm sure he meant no harm by his statement.

Anyway, I was so excited to wake up this morning and listen to Clumsy but Australian iTunes hasn't updated yet. I really do think it will be a simultaneous worldwide release when it's midnight US EST. We need someone from NZ or any other forum members that live in the future to confirm whether it's available for them.
