Britney Spears - Glory

Honestly, the lipping has to make you wonder... Is she that bad live? Sure, I'd get if all the live singers out there were Whitneys or Arianas, but you've got Selena, Taylor, Rihanna, Katy belting their terrible little vocals out, and getting a pass.
I'd really like to know if this has ever come under discussion behind closed doors or if they just completely swipe it under the rug.
I don't think so. I think it has a lot to do with her anxiety and being bashed for her voice a ton. Whenever she did sing live on the circus tour or the femme fatale tour she sounded decent to good live. Not worse than a Katy or a Taylor for sure. It's one of those mental things that gives her more comfort with the fact that she can up sync and get away with it.

It's interesting how people perceive music differently. I was just doing a round of video reactions to Glory on Youtube and realized no one perceived the album as sad. I was a crying mess on my first play through. Invitation- Man On The Moon - Just Luv Me- Just Like Me back to back is just heart wrenching. Some people were bopping and dancing to Man On The Moon and I'm like: "really?"

I know the likelihood of it happening is little to none, but I'd love if she released a remix album for Glory (like Rihanna did for Good Girl Gone Bad and Rated R or Beyoncé did for 4 - just realized Beyoncé released an EP, not an album... but that would work as well), even if it was just an online exclusive type thing. I don't know why, but for some reason I've been really into remixes lately. I decided to add to my Britney collection and get remixes that I didn't have (I usually only have her remix albums or remixes that appear on studio albums/compilation albums/the odd remix single), and the thought popped into my head. More Glory could never be a bad thing.

I find the conversation that goes on behind closed doors much more interesting than any other part of the lip synching debate. I would love to know if they ever even speak to her about it, did anyone ever suggest pre-recorded vocals again?

The really weird thing I experienced was before the Femme Fatale tour when the dancers did their rehearsal they did it to a version of Hold It Against Me with only really the chorus vocal and odd bits, it was so weird how they were even trying to keep up pretences for the 20 people there and then Britney came out and mimed to the pre-recorded vocals in the rehearsal.

Anyway...Slumber Party needs to be sent to radio now.

One of these is not like the others.

Rihanna is leagues above the other women when it comes to vocal talent.
