I remember playing "The Beat Goes On" and making my stepdad listen to it because of the crackling effect. I thought something was wrong with the CD!
I just don’t understand. Like I can’t comprehend. My mind isn’t able to process this.I've never listened to the album in full but then again I'm not really a fan of any of the singles.
I understand Baby is an absolute classic pop song of course, but I can probably count on two hands how many times I've listened to it in the past 10 years, it's personally a single of hers that I generally don't have any interest in revisiting frequently (don't kill me).
The first two eras don't really do much for me (bar Lucky and Stronger), it was the Britney album and I'm a Slave 4 U that got my attention.
The ...Baby One More Time album ending with this perfection was such a lovely cherry on top.
Speaking of From the Bottom of My Broken Heart, did you guys know about this song?
They use the exact same melody for the chorus (1:06) and apparently got away with it because nothing happened, it was a hit all over Latin America I think and I used to love it as a kid but had no idea about the Britney sample until a few months ago when listening to her debut. It’s still a bop and a half though.
Her nose is outside too. Plus it’s far from anyone so the mask is pointless anyway.Straight men place your noses inside masks challenge.
But yay happy for her.
January was a busy month for Britney ddd so many anniversaries
Shady queen.
January 11: Hold It Against Me
January 12: ...Baby One More Time (album)
January 13: Toxic
Iconic.
It's a nice album, but ...Baby One More Time isn't avant garde at all ddddd but poptimism, I guess.
