Britney Spears Singles Rate

I gave it a 6. Double-3!
It's a nice song, and I wanted to give it a 7, but then I remembered how freaking lazy it is. Production is almost nonexistent, the melody in verses is the only thing that really lifts 3 slightly above average.

We're now in the Top 20 and finishing in 20th place with an average score of 7 is Radar

Despite being featured on her 5th studio album, Blackout, Radar was included on her 6th studio album, Circus and was released as the final single from the album. The single did not perform well in the charts despite the good reviews it recieved during the release of Blackout. It only managed to reach Number 46 on the UK Singles Chart and Number 88 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It is still considered a great pop gem to Britney fans through it's infectious melody and synthesizers.

Radar's amazing, if it had been a Blackout single people would love it. I swear it's the mess of a video and the fact it was on Circus that make people dislike it.

Finishing in 19th place with an average score of 7.21 is My Prerogative

This was the lead single and title track released from Britney's first ever compilation album, Greatest Hits: My Prerogative. The song is Britney's first and to date, only cover song to be released as a lead single. The song was originally written and released by Bobby Brown in 1988. Bobby wrote the song to tackle the criticism he was receiving from the media at the time. Due to the fact that Spears was in the same position back in 2004, she felt that it would be an appropriate song to cover and made it the lead single of her first Greatest Hits album. The song managed to reach the Top 5 in the UK Singles Chart, peaking at the Number 3 position, while it sadly failed to chart on the US Billboard Hot 100.

I too was surprised about how low this had ranked, as well as Me Against The Music. I will give you all one clue by saying that there is a song that ranks exceptionally high that will perhaps come as a surprise.

I'm not happy with My Prerogative going out before some other Blackout/Circus singles.

Though, I am thrilled that Born To Make You Happy, Lucky, Crazy, Oops!, & Baby One More Time all remain. My top 5!

Toxic is not that special, though it will no doubt finish in the Top 10.

Finishing in 18th place with an average score of 7.30 is I'm A Slave 4 U

This was released as the lead single from Spears' 3rd studio album, Britney. The song made a great impact on her career as it is arguably the song that transformed Spears from an innocent child star to a more mature, sexually influenced artist, shedding her wholesome girl next door image. The music video for the song is the first of many raunchy videos Britney had produced over the years. The single had moderate success chart wise, peaking at Number 27 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and Number 4 on the UK Singles Charts. The song and video were re-created in popular television series, Glee in an episode dedicated to Britney's music. Spears has performed the song on every tour she has embarked upon since the single's release.
