If any other pop star did the things she did and wanted to have a 2nd chance, they would certainly not be back to being one of the most successful people of the time. She is actually more successfull than ever these days considoring her last tour was her most successful one, and her last single was huge with no promotion, and manage to debut on the american chart at #1 even before a video was out, so no she is not irrelevant at all, she just isn't top dog. No one ever stays top dog for a massive amount of time anyway so gagz should enjoy it while she can.

I just listened to "Blackout" and "Circus" back to back and accidentally listened to "Radar" twice! The horror when I realised.
Where did I say Britney is presently top dog? You really can't say gaga will be top dog for a long time, as past stars have proven the hype lasts only a few years, maybe she will, but going by how it has worked in the past, she probably won't, you said yourself public love her at the moment. You say the Britney she charts so high is because the music is good, '3' is an average song that only did as well as it did because of Britney's name.
Plus look at how much both of them promoted in their last era's, gaga massive amounts, Britney little, yet they both still had great success... and if gaga decided to mime all the time she would loose many many fans and would not sell out conserts like Britney does miming.
They are both great anyway...
The bottom line... "Is Britney Spears irrelevant?", answer OF COURSE SHE ISN'T she is Britney fucking Spears, she even has a hollywood star, not even Madonna has one of those.

Gaga is a brand new artist well not so much now and the fame monster was hardly promoted not like the fame but that was because she was a new artist she had to promote it. britney doesnt need to on the fact the music is good and she is famous enough to not need to promote it so much.
of course people wouldnt like it if gaga mimed she is known for singing live its her thing miming is britney's thing but something the general public see as a bad thing. i never actually said she is irrelevant.
the main reason britneys tour sold out was because it was her first concert in years and a comeback so everyone was excited know one actually knew she was going to mime the whole thing of course it was pretty obvious.

People went to Britney's consert because it was her first consert in years, yes, so they still wanted to see her, and payed good money for it, and of course everyone knew she was going to mime, the european, australian and 2nd american legs were not even announced after she started miming on the first american leg.
Also on promotion, most people still need to promote, Rihanna, Beyonce, BEP, Shakira.
People are only starting to say she is less relevant now because she hasn't done anything in a while.

people actually payed more to see lady gaga as her tickets cost more. yes people always need to promote even britney the only reason she didnt have to with blackout and circus were because 1. blackout - her personal life was basically her promotion as she was crazy then and 2. circus - most of it still because of her personal life and the fact she did some promotion for it and like ive said the music is good and she is famous enough for people to listen to her
i think the only reason people really listen to her is because of her personal life. she does well because she has already proved her self by performing amazingly well years ago but now people generally think she is shit just her stans love her so much they keep her going but the general public generally think she is shit
