My favorites from Blackout (not saying the best songs):

Exactly!! That is how I felt when I was writing it. And Why Should I Be Sad is good as well.

I love Perfect Lover, just truly love it. And Why Should I Be Sad - underrated, a lot. These are the parts that really do it for me:

People say they love the 'Britney' album but don't like this song so much, I don't get it. Soundwise and maybe also concerning the lyrics it could have been on her third album, see Lonely and Cinderella.

Thanks for reminding me of Blackout's brilliance Mr. Telephone Man. Not that it needs reminding, but I'm playing it right now and it's ever so flawless. I just spent about 10 minutes thinking of a Top 5, but I cant' do it. It's the only album I can think of that's honestly perfect from start to end.

Edit: okay I've decided to let my iTunes decide, these are my most-played songs:

1. Toy Soldier.
2. Freakshow
3. Get Naked (I Got A Plan)
4. Perfect Lover
5. Hot As Ice

That's a pretty flawless Top 5 if you ask me. Indie, as you'd call it.

I honestly couldn't believe this album when I first heard it. It was just exactly what I wanted from her. That never happens. And it never gets old.

Reading all this I have this weird feeling that people are over Piece Of Me. Didn't it have any lasting power or have you guys never enjoyed it at all or does the album have better songs to offer? For me this song is still a career highlight (although nowadays I prefer Gimme More).

'Blackout' is my all time favourite pop-album. It's incredible. Isn't it ironic how it was released at a really dark time of her life, probably when she was at her lowest point, yet it's her best album! Maybe that plays a part in why.

I remember when Get Naked leaked. I was so hooked. I was also one of the first to put it on Youtube and got the most views out of all videos on that day. Of course you know how it ended up.

Anyways the album is all about the dark vibe for me that's why I don't need Hot As Ice and Ooh Ooh Baby (only sometimes).
