Britney Spears

Slumber Party is definitely the hit on Glory to me, but I wouldn't have made it the 2nd single (and certainly not 3 months after the album was out - they really sabotaged that one). If I remember correctly @goldsoundz actually said iHeart people were telling RCA to release Just Luv Me as the 2nd single, and thats what I would have done. But literally right after the album. Like the first week of September. I would've had the video and everything ready to go. But I also would never have scrapped the original video and artwork.

Make Me
Just Luv Me
Do You Wanna Come Over?
Slumber Party
Change Your Mind

would have been a great run of singles.

It's especially annoying because Make Me performed really well, all things considered. Despite the whole video mess, it spent two weeks in the top 20 on Billboard – very few (if any) pop girls are doing that with a single from their 9th albums and nearly 2 decades into their careers. If they'd released the original video, kept the original album cover, and given us a better selection of pre-release tracks + singles, I really think Glory had the potential to be a memorable era for her. Obviously it's still very special for her fanbase, but it had the potential to do so much more. Private Show + Clumsy as the pre-release tracks made no sense when Man on The Moon, Better, Love Me Down, and Change Your Mind were all right there.

Oh wow I'd forgotten Private Show was supposed to entice people to buy the album ddddd. Strange decisions all around.
