Maybe the reason she didn't record the new chorus was because she preferred the I Don't Give A Fuck version and wasn't happy with changing it so the pieces of shits did it without her anyway...
I remember Giorgio Moroder really wanted her to record a bridge for Tom's Diner after she had already done the song and he said it was near impossible to get ahold of her / set up a time.

Oh my God, I totally forgot about that. I remember him basically telling everyone that he was trying everything and really hoped that she would still record that new bridge but her team was just leaving him on read.
She had a huge streaming year. Really, really impressive for a pop star from her era, especially considering the fact that she has basically been completely inactive since 2016 aside from Hold Me Closer.

It's normal to have a soundalike as a guide vocal and padding (not that Britney would need padding under usual circumstances).
As far as I can recall, the book didn't cover the recording of this specifically* (or the Will.I.Am sessions) but it did seem like she was on such a tight regime that "allowing" her to go back and do more vocals (and thus allowing her any artistic input) would've been out of the question.
Very pleased this vocal on the bridge wasn't used in the released version though.
*In fact, didn't she post somewhere saying it came on at random and that she liked it and had forgot she recorded it?
I noticed those comments (they named her too) but after the “Work Bitch!” travesty, I couldn’t care less if “Scream & Shout” (a song I’ve always hated) wasn’t sung by Britney nn.
EDIT: Just saw the video with audio, oh… she sounds awful at times, and before the vocal cosplay she had moments of sounding like Leona Lewis.
If I recall correctly, Circus era recording but was gonna be saved for the Hits collection but Gaga wanted it for an album so she took it back.
The bridge he ended up doing? I hope that was a case of her being like “yeah, no”. It’s the worst part of that S+ cover. I have always wanted an edit with it removed.
Wait, the demo’s more laidback production sounds better than the final nn.

Isn't it only the ad-libs on "Mood Ring" that belong to someone else?
“Liar” ad-libs as well, but I think that was the only survivor from the “Pretty Girls” sessions. There’s also the spoken bit in “Change Your Mind” and sometimes she’s mixed with the backing vocalists (pretty standard), but yeah there’s no doubt Britney’s all over that album.
I wonder if her 'team' (does a team exist right now?) would consider updating and rereleasing The Singles Collection, adding in everything from Femme Fatale onward, through to Hold Me Closer (Manjobee never happened!) and maybe a handful of other unreleased tracks. They did such a good job with the original box set, it'd be nice to have it updated and get a definitive Singles Collection on streaming. It'd also push the album even higher on these year-end charts.
It really was such a smart idea to take all of her singles and add a b-side or a choice remix, so many rarities on there. I agree it should be updated although there's not that many singles after Femme Fatale?

It'd be enough to give the album a decent little streaming boost, even just from Scream & Shout + the Femme Fatale singles (specifically Criminal dd). But yeah... I'd be much more interested in an outtake collection. Except if they ever actually do it, I want it to be done properly. I don't really know what type of care, if any, would go into it at this point. That's why I think updating The Singles Collection feels like an easy win that'd be hard for them to fuck up.
I would be surprised if they added all of those singles when it wasn’t even a complete singles collection when released, unless you got the boxset. “Break The Ice” was criminally left off all versions bar the digital version of the aforementioned boxset.
Now if they expand on the digital deluxe (which is just the boxset), it would be interesting if they would keep up the A-Side/B-Side presentation. “Til The World Ends” is the only one that is easy but what B-Side would be for the others?
I assume they would just use remixes like they did for most of the Blackout/Circus singles, though they could make Scary one of the Femme Fatale b-sides and finally get that on streaming.
