Britney Spears

I have a horrible feeling this is going to be stuck in development hell for ages. This quote, albeit brief, doesn’t fill me with confidence. He said himself “it’s a long road ahead”, and I think the subtext there is that it’s not going to be easy or straightforward.

He said in another interview they haven't even really begun anything, including figuring out the direction the film will take tonally, so that's probably the main reason for his answer

Hadn’t seen this. Thanks for sharing. I think I’m just nervous because I want it to happen and I want it to be great and I think Jon is a good choice so I hope he stays on board.

The studio is going to push hard to get that movie made + have it done well. I don't see them allowing it to get stuck in development. I think he just doesn't want to talk about anything too early, especially when it's only in the very initial stages. It makes me happy that they aren't rushing into production, though. Given how broad her novel is, from young Britney in Louisiana to Britney in her 40s fighting for freedom, they need to take their time to figure out the right approach, which probably involves a ton of different treatments and pitches before they settle on anything.

Holy crap. This TikTok alleges that the initial whistleblower that started the Free Britney movement was none other than David Lucado:

Kind of a gag if true.

I don't fuck with BAnon stuff, but this is one theory that actually seems to have a real ground to it. The voice comparison alone matches, but add to the fact that he also worked with legal teams... it tracks. Also it was always strange how sudden that relationship ended. The cheating story especially seemed strange at the time. I brought it up back in 2021 because of the Page Six story that came out:

Sounds more like David, honestly. Considering we just found out that Britney was starting to question the conservatorship when she was with him in 2014 and then he suddenly was out of the picture. Charlie doesn’t seem like he’d run to Page Six to talk about Britney, whereas David has publicly stated she doesn’t need the conservatorship in the past.

They need to get on with the casting for the movie so we can the inevitable "Why is this [insert name here] girl playing me?? She looks nothing like me! Only I can be me!!!! I would love to play me but my parents took my passion away from me!!! Thank god I have coffee and tiny champagne bottles now! I do love Mexico but next I want to live in Abu Dhabi! It looked so beautiful and full of light when Carrie and her friends went there!! I'm in equine therapy now and I would love to pet a horse in Abu Dhabi!" out of the way and move on.

I always thought he seemed the most decent and normal of her exes so wouldn't be surprised.

I think a good approach for the movie would be having Britney herself on the movie kinda like a sit down interview narrating and then having the movie start wherever she wants to start narrating. A bit like Titanic with the old lady narrating and having flashbacks fff.

That sounds like the only way to tell this story. The story of her fame is so visually memorable to the public that it's going to be so hard to recreate some of the events given people will remember them so vividly. It's going to need real authenticity behind it to balance that out and adjust people's own recollections of events.

If Spotify manages to convince her to do one of those Billions Club videos... I'm dying.
*random picture of a fairy*

I just learned that I got a billion streams !!! They wanted me to do a video but I don't even know what a stream is !!! They stopped selling CDs so I don't even listen to new music anymore .... sorry not sorry!!! The last album I bought was a Selena Gomez album ... I loved that album !!! You know what they say though, never meet your idols because they will disappoint you !!! JUST SAYING

Pss what is everyone reading right now
