Britney Spears

I agree with most of these but I really can’t stand Trip To Your Heart. It’s always been a skip for me. I’d have preferred something like Up and Down/He About To Lose Me/Inside Out.

Shocked at the Trip To Your Heart slander! Such a beautiful song and would have added a nice bit of variety to the singles run in the same way Criminal did.

But those three are all excellent alternatives, as is Seal It With A Kiss (and Gasoline - OK I’ll stop now before I reel off the entire tracklist).

I’d say the biggest case of “the lost single” for each album (trying really hard not to name multiple tracks) was:

Baby: I Will Be There

Oops
: What U See (Is What U Get)/Can’t Make You Love Me

Britney
: Lonely/Cinderella (the latter really deserved to be on the DWAD set list at the very least)

In The Zone: Breathe On Me

Blackout
: Get Naked (I Got A Plan)

Circus
: Unusual You

Femme Fatale
: Trip To Your Heart

Britney-:
Jean

Glory: Change Your Mind (No Seas Cortes)/Better/Do You Wanna Come Over?
I would add “And Then We Kiss” as an official single from the remix album. Still one of her best songs!

Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know is the Oops single that shouldn't have been rather than Lucky. I can see so clearly hear how Shania would have sang it, and it would have suited her much better.
It works as a nice set up for the next era though to make her more mature.

These I agree with but for Blackout I would’ve gone for “Heaven on Earth” or “Perfect Lover”. The other albums have no notes, the singles they released made sense.

Can’t believe the label didn’t make it an official single. I hate it when remix compilations include a new song but don’t release it as a single (see: Kesha and “Fuck Him, He’s A DJ”).

B in the Mix was so ahead of it’s time tbh.
