Fffffffff it was actually for Britney Jean aksjskskjsjs like I'm sorry that's campI remember Larry (I think) hyping Femme Fatale as Britney's Ray Of Light.
Didn’t he say that about Brenda Joan instead?

I’d say the biggest case of “the lost single” for each album (trying really hard not to name multiple tracks) was:
Baby: I Will Be There
Oops: What U See (Is What U Get)/Can’t Make You Love Me
Britney: Lonely/Cinderella (the latter really deserved to be on the DWAD set list at the very least)
In The Zone: Breathe On Me
Blackout: Get Naked (I Got A Plan)
Circus: Unusual You
Femme Fatale: Trip To Your Heart
Britney-: Jean
Glory: Change Your Mind (No Seas Cortes)/Better/Do You Wanna Come Over?
The credits were fake. Britney was never truly involved in writing all of the songs, and Britney Jean was no exception. Her team likely included her name to promote the album as her "most personal" work, but in reality, she had little to no control over her career during that period.I really hope we get the full tea someday on why Myah Marie's vocals were so heavily used to replace Britney's on BJ. Was Britney just so over it that they couldn't get her to record for more than 30 minutes, or finish songs? Considering she was apparently involved in co-writing every song, it doesn't make sense.
It really seems especially cruel looking back that they decided to market the album she's barely involved in as her "most personal" project. Like you said, it could've so easily been passed of as something else. It's as if they wanted to spite her. Really checks out with the whole story about Jamie telling her "I'm Britney Spears now".I still remember everyone expecting a huge personal and retrospective album from Britney Jean ("omg she's used her middle name for the title this is going to be DEEP") fff. I do wonder why it was marketed as that? They could have just passed it off as a party album (a terrible one at least)
And having her do a song called 'Work Bitch' when they were forcing her to do things she really didn't want.It really seems especially cruel looking back that they decided to market the album she's barely involved in as her "most personal" project. Passenger especially gives me the biggest ick now, the song is about actually enjoying somebody else taking control – it felt weird back then, but knowing what we know now, it's almost sinister they put that song on the album.

Yeah, I genuinely believe she wrote those (and Sia confirmed Brit wrote a big part of Brightest Morning Star) but then completely checked out when Vegas started taking over.I’ve always thought its likely she wrote Don’t Cry and Hold Tight (and maybe the verses of Brightest Morning Star) and they decided that was sufficient to humour with the ‘most personal’ line, quickly building an album around them with whatever quick scraps they could find in time for Vegas.
They should do a true crime documentary about Britney Jean.
