Britney Spears

I loved this shoot! The interview portraying her as a menthol smoking unbothered ice queen was iconic too teebs. "No interviews again? That would be great!"
I’d love to know the backstory of that interview because I remember being shook at the time. The way she just casually shrugged throughout it and made it clear she had no clue when the damn album was coming out. Unbothered as could be.

Also confirms that she’s totally clueless when it comes to streaming numbers and charts.

I remember around this time she said she didnt steam music and still used CDs and the most recent one she bought she could remember was Selena's Revival djdjd. For some reason the image of Britney turning up to her dressing room in Vegas with a portable boombox and a copy of Revival with probably a few Janet and Madge faves both sends me and fills me with immense joy. Do you think she put any stickers on it?

New interview with Sam where he discusses his relationship with Britney a bit, he doesn't reveal a whole lot we don't already know but has nothing but praise for her and it's quite sweet. It's too bad things didn't work out between them.

I really do wish during this time of apparent retirement she and RCA would consider expanded albums (Anniversary editions make more sense but they've missed the boat on a lot those). Circus with all the regional bonus tracks plus a few never released would be great (mix and master her version of Telephone, give us Take the Bait!). Blackout with Outta This World finally available and then throw on State of Grace, Kiss You All Over, Who Can She Trust etc. That would keep fans invested, it would keep the streams of her back catalogue strong, and it wouldn't really require much from her.

I really want Take the Bait for some reason ddd. I listen to Candice's demo every now and then and I think Brit would sound great.
I am actually surprised labels aren't milking her back catalogue way more and also drop some international bonus tracks on streaming from time to time. Maybe a rights thing? Or they think that eventually, not enough people care about Trouble on streaming to actually have someone upload it.

Alllll her old remixes need to go up on streaming too! Crazy that even this isn't on Spotify when this was the main version I remember radios playing in the UK and may well have been the same in other countries in Europe:

All the Britney songs missing from Spotify. If only they'd upload them as a 10 track b-sides and bonus tracks collection!

"You Got It All" - Oops! Non U.S bonus
"Girl In The Mirror" - Oops! Non U.S bonus
"Girls & Boys" - In The Zone DVD Japan & Europe bonus disc
"Over To You Now" - Chaotic E.P UK & Japan bonus
"Outta This World" - Blackout Japan bonus & U.S Target exclusive download
"Trouble" - Circus U.S iTunes pre order & French Amazon digital bonus
"Quicksand" - Circus Europe iTunes digital bonus
"Amnesia" - Circus Japan & UK bonus & Britney.com digital bonus
"Rock Boy" - Circus German first edition & Mexico digital bonus
"Scary" - Femme Fatale Japan bonus

The Japanese version of Blackout is sensational. Back cover:

I had not realised "You Got It All" and "Girl In The Mirror" were not on Spotify. I'm sure they were on there at one time. Also considering Baby One More Time and Britney have their deluxe versions on it.

Edit: Yes, I looked up an old Britney playlist I made in 2013 which included Girl In The Mirror, You Got It All and also Outta This World and Rock Boy. They are greyed out now. So surely Sony wouldn't need Britney's permission to make them available again?
