Yeah I can't see the movie ever coming to fruition. Britney's not very, ummm ...friendly(?) with other females and I can't see her approving of anybody literally playing her.
Universal paid dearly for the book+life rights. They might throw Britney an honorary executive producer title but they will not let her derail this project, even if she has any inclination to, which I doubt. This is business.

I'm not sure I like the idea of Britney as a woman hater but ok.
The film won’t perform as well if Britney is dragging it left, right, and centre on Instagram.
Especially considering a large portion of her story is about being exploited by the entertainment industry. The optics would be terrible if it doesn’t have her endorsement.
I’m sure everyone involved will want to keep her on side, get her to release a new song for the credits roll, go to the premier etc. and that’s not going to happen without making her feel involved.
Um... will Britney want to be involved? She has made it very clear she wants nothing to do with the business again so I'm not seeing her glammed up on the red carpet and recording songs for the closing credits anytime soon. Now as for her dragging the film on social media, she's the one who signed away the rights to the book. I'm sure there are clauses in place to make the production appear in a positive light. As I said, Universal has invested in this.
Anyway, considering the film is not even in preproduction yet, this speculation feels wildly premature. I get there's not much to talk about hanging around but let's wait until there's actual news.

Do I think she’ll record a song and appear on the red carpet? Probably not. But I do think that’s what’s the films producers will want and will act accordingly to try and get it.
Yeah, maybe in like, ten years? I don't mean to sound gossipy or patronizing, but I think she is struggling quite a bit right now. She needs years out of the spotlight to heal and get some genuine help. Drawing millions of eyes to her very raw trauma seems ill-advised at best. (I also don't think she has the best people around her right now, but that is more speculative / me being wary of her situation)
I also have zero interest in it? I've read the book and really don't see the need for a film.
The good news is that there will not be a Britney Spears biopic right now. I don't even know if it's Jon Chu's next project but even if it was, he has to get through Wicked, go into preproduction for this, casting, budgeting etc. They don't even have a script yet. This will take years. Speaking of Wicked, that took 20 years to bring to the screen.
So yeah, wildly premature speculation.
A 2 hour documentary on her career and life (as much as she wants to go into) would be absolutely enough. I don't want a biopic.
The Academy. Most biopics (at least from the US but, then again, even Better Man was an anttempt to appeal to the Academy) are strictly Academy fodder.
