Buffy the Vampire Slayer / Angel

I really enjoyed season 7 as it started what with the return of Sunnydale High and the closing teaser of the First at the end of the first episode but as soon as the potentials were introduced I just kind of lost interest. It was great to see Faith back though and there were mega tears when I thought Dead Wood...sorry I mean Robin Wood was gonna die in the last episode. Not because I liked him, but because he obviously meant something to Faith.

I've said it on here a few times before but i found Tara's death excruciating. She was by far my favourite character in the entire series and after the killings of Jenny and Joyce a few years before it just seemed cruel. Willows growing obsession with magic to the dark side actually made me despise her quite a bit - I missed Eskimo Will from season 2, the girl a lot of viewers fell for in the show. Regarding the cruelness of Amber being in the credits for 'Seeing red' apparently Joss wanted her to become a cast member in the credits from the beginning of the season but Amber said No as she was working on her film 'Chance' at the time. To be honest she really should have been a cast member from season 5 anyway, or at least from 'Family' - what an amazing episode!

I worshipped Buffy and I think it's still the best show ever televised.

I only saw the first couple of Angel seasons, then it was moved to stranger and stranger timeslots until it disappeared altogether.

Willow will forever be my favourite character. And Tara. And Spike for reasons of the flesh.

Spike's nude scenes in season 6 surely make up for the hell that was the nerds?!

'Oh look Buffy's invisible, let's go play Star Wars!' gahhhhhhhhh.

Thank God one of them was flayed alive, that's all I can say!

I did like Andrew in Season 7 though. However, I don't get how he goes from fancying Xander in season 7 of Buffy to being a womaniser in Season 5 of Angel. He's surely a big gayer?!

I loved Andrew. When him and Anya were paired up as the comedy double act in season seven it was absolutely hilarious.

BIG IMPORTANT CONVERSATION "So....wheelchair fight?" is one of my favourite moments in Buffy!

The Nerds were quite a fun set of villains, they got Warren's arc from annoying to dangerous dead on I think. And Evil Willow was amazing.

Seasons 2 & 3 were my favourite years; Spike and Dru, Angel going bad, Faith and The Mayor... and I always preferred the high school setting to the college.

They really botched the death of Anya.

I was gutted that they killed Anya, properly gutted! it was bad enough when Tara got done in but Anya, she was fantastic. i think my least favourite character was Xander, i found him really irritating!

Did anyone see the episode 'once more with feeling' (i think it was called), when they sang the whole way through the episode, i thought it was great, in fact so much so, i bought the cd and dvd!

I long for the day when a Buffy movie is greenlighted, Angel.....not so much, plus i hated the theme tune to Angel!

Agreed. Xander was either annoying and immature or really judgemental (usually on Buffy). Emma Caulfield had a dispute with the producers and apparently asked to be killed off so she wouldn't be called back.

Am I way off or didn't Anya die in the final episode? Why would she be called back?

Oh, and I do love my Buffy, but the final two seasons were a bit crap. Buffy being depressed was fine for a couple of episodes, but two whole seasons? Not to mention the whole arc with the slayers. Also, I wish I could erase the McBuffy episode from my memory.

Have I seen it?! I'm still obsessed by it 7 years later! I have the CD, DVD (even though I already have all the bible-book boxset versions), the script book, musical poster (which is yummy), I can't get enough of it.

Amber's 'Under Your Spell' is probably one of my favourite songs of all time, who would have thought such an amazing show could take a risk like doing a musical episode and not fail?

'They got the mustard outtttt!'

He/Him
Everyone loves the musical episode but I hated it.

My favourite episodes have to be:

Becoming,
Doppelganger,
The Wish,
Fear Itself
The Gift

David Fury is the mustard guy which always amused me, and Marti Noxon is the woman who sings about having no underware! But you knew that already. I love Amber's version of Under Your Spell but the original (the one by Joss' wife) is amazing.

I loved the musical episode, but like with pretty much any TV show (and films) I find it difficult to watch something more than once unless I was, on first viewing, a bit too young to really understand what was going on (which doesn't really apply to Buffy).

My favourite episode is "Bad Girls" - mid season 3, Faith has been raising hell, and in this episode she drags Buffy along with her for the ride, and they just go out and enjoy the fun of being Slayers, and kicking vampire ass. And then at the end, as Faith murders a human and then tries to deny it - you see where the rest of the season is headed, and Faith's fall from grace.

Faith is still probably my fave character - I *must* watch Dollhouse at some point, it's just do I find a non-crappy download from the net or do I wait for Sky to eventually show it?

Kai's version is available to hear?! I'd love to hear that, I'll have to see if it's on youtube or something. And I adore Marti and David's appearances in the episode, its little things like that which cement my BTVS love.

I love the Watchers Guide books but I have to say while volumes 1 and 2 were very concise the third one seems really thrown together, does anyone else feel this? The first two volumes really went into the music of Buffy, cast interviews etc yet the third one was padded out with fan essays on the show which I never had that much interest to really read. Shame.
