She played Strike on a Zoom. It's a bop and reminiscent of Carly's Run Away With Me.
Frankly, this is my issue with it. It's fine but it just feels too calculated for the bubblegum electropop gays. Downhill From Here had a bit of the same issue, but it'd still be a memorable song if all the synths were stripped away. I don't think strike would be.
This is PROPER brilliant. Her best in ages.
Strike is excellent, her best song is so so long. Big E•MO•TION vibes from it. It’s stuck in my head way more instantly than Rain On Me has ddddd.
It's a BOP.
Funny she's releasing this the same week as Carly's Side B and Dagny's debut album.
There's something really special about this one. Definitely feels like that classic confidence that was in 'Give N Take'/'Love the Lie'. It threatens to be quite anonymous but I think the verses and middle-8 are so her.
Love the new song of course.
It is literally a Dagny song. Would fit perfectly well on the E.P she released today.
It's very cute and would fit definitely on the Dagny EP. She has the perfect pop voice.
This is a scream
'Strike' is still an absolute banger.
As if we missed this Summer anthem during actual Summer
Was there any actual reason they couldn't have thrown this out 3 months ago like it was meant to be?
She fell off the loop.
Sounds like a Sophie Ellis Bextor song so naturally it's a bop.
01. Self Love
04. Downhill From Here
A phenomenal EP.
Has this been released? I haven't heard it...
It was a charity single that's bloody fab. I've asked her to get it up on streaming already but no luck!
Just heard Rose and wow what a precious little song. I'm obsessed.
