Some of these definitely seem promising... on paper.

 

I actually find the Halsey part extremely catchy and I’m not a fan of hers.

Seems to be climbing the midweek chart here pretty rapidly: up 6 places in two days.

 

nn I have enjoyed everything from the project so far but truly this is the tea.

 

“Potion” is my favourite Funk Wav track so far nn. That double chorus is just totally magical.

He should've spun the one-two punch of One Kiss and Promise into an album instead.


It's not like he needed a part 2 of funk wav, though it was a moment at the time.

 

Apparently, there are more shelved 2018/2019 songs with that soundscape.

It's so weird that this era spawned three global smashes with a consistent soundscape, but just... fizzled out after Giant.

This is so lame lol. Dated production that sounds like something from a mid-2000s Jay-Z album and a not very memorable chorus. It's not particularly well suited to Normani's voice either. Tinashe slides on it but teebs both are wasted on this bland white boi funk.

What a waste of two queens who could have maximised their joint slay.

 

a Tinashe and Normani song should’ve been better than this.. I do think Tinashe sounds really good on it though.
